USS MISSOURI firing her Big canons DIORAMA / Wreck/ How to make/ DIY/

In this video tutorial you can see how I created a diorama of the famous battleship USS MISSOURI in battle firing all her big canons. This is no ordinary model ship, as you'll see in this epic diorama showcase of the battleship USS Missouri. Watch as she fires her big canons and see the explosive details of the model's design.
I used the Academy model kit of USS MISSOURI at 1/700 scale
I painted the various parts with Vallejo Air acrylic colors.
I created the sea with styrofoam
The Diorama is illuminated by a battery operated LED strip.

I really like your method for the water effect, most people seem like they'd flood the board with resin, but i think this looks as effective at a far more affordable rate. The overall effect is very convincing, i love it.

Amazing work, well done. It's awesome to know that the USS Missouri "Mighty Mo", a ship that participated in bombarding Iwo Jima and Okinawa, saw the Japanese surrender, fought in the Korean War, and launched cruise missiles during the Gulf War, would still be afloat. As are her three other sister ships; Iowa, New Jersey, and Wisconsin.

I dont remember if it was Missouri or Wisconsin that fired its guns in this way but i do remember that the ship was damaged by the pressure of firing all its guns port and starboard at the same time.

Outstanding work, you have some amazingly realistic technique. Im hoping to attempt a water diorama at some point soon. My only suggestion, the Union Jack (flag on the bow jackstaff) is normally only flown in port. Underway, the jackstaff is taken down and all colors are flown on the mast. With that said, its a cool flag and modeling offers the chance to separate from the norm, so do your thing. Your project is outstanding. Well done!

a very important update to a naval battle has just been made about Guadalcanal. apparently the battleship IJN Hiei was successfully hit by American torpedoes on both sides and while she was sinking by the stern and turned on her starboard side, she breaks in two like the Titanic but backwards. Could you possibly make this a model someday?
