I’m so thrilled Emma is finally with the US women’s team! I’ve been such a huge fan of hers and have admired what she’s been able to do with the Chelsea women’s team! I’m so happy for her (she’s said multiple times that this was her dream job). I can finally say that the US soccer federation made a good decision, cause I can’t say the same about GGG. I wouldn’t trust anyone more to bring the USWNT’s level back to greatness! Emma is a legend! ❤

First 30 minutes was very sloppy. Play like that and they’ll get killed against top competition, but second half was great. I’m optimistic.

You must not have watched the Alex Morgan interview on the pitch. Aaron was absolutely cringeworthy as always. He is a horrible media director. He ruins nearly every interview.

@@IngridAndDjuna I know. He has been at US Soccer for so many years. It’s horrible. He was even a ghostwriter to Mia Hamm’s autobiography like 25 years ago. lol just the worst. The worst was Rapinoe playing along with him during the interviews bc it was so uncomfortable.

Take it easy. The re-building just took off. They're not at Spain's level yet. But they'll get there in no time. If I'm not wrong, she's the only coach to beat Barcelona in the just ended season and that Spanish national women's team is dominated by Barcelona. The USWNT is on the right path to reclaim the top.

Alex Morgan's days are past. She's not putting the ball in the net and spends her time rolling around on the pitch every time she gets bumped. There are young players who should be in her place.

Yep, she lost a step and you can tell when she has to resort to flopping and complaining. Only reason to keep her would be for veteran experience, but that’s not necessary with Horan and others.

Anyone who watched cat play today that’s got any coaching experience was screaming at the tv and begging for Alex Morgan to be subbed in. Cat missed every pass she tried in the first half and completely ruined the tempo and forward progress of the team. Soon as Emma took her out the team looked twice as good.

The Americans seem to have a total different vocabulary when talking about football and footballers. They use phrases that are indecipherable to any normal English speaking person and Hayes seems to have already succumbed to the same rubbish talk.

Being English, it is not unusual to have grown up speaking dialect, then have to speak differently at university or work, so not that surprising. She pointed out her different perspective but need to develop from what had gone before.
