I've never been a great story-teller with photography. I'm more of a find a pretty subject and then make the composition simple kind of landscape photographer. However, on this day in Zion, after seeing the Observation Point landslide on the bus ride in, I was determined to tell the story of decay and change in Zion. What I ended up with may not be one of my most flashy images, but I am extremely proud of the way it turned out. Thanks for following along!

Beautiful images. The last one, long exposure golden water over rocks was fantastic. Looked more like liquid metal than water. Just amazing.

Alan excellent images! Specially the one with the reflected light over the water and the frozen rocks. Absolutely exquisite! Don't put too much value on the view count. Even van Gogh had trouble convincing people his art was more valuable than just the canvas and the paint on it. One day you'll get you due, so keep shooting and posting. It is greatly appreciated by many!

Hey Alan, I really loved the first shot of the old cottonwood. The reds and oranges coming through in the bark, accentuated with the greens were really nice together. I liked all the shots but I am partial to cottonwoods and that one really connected. Well done.

Love the shot of the tree and the rockfall! I feel that shot perfectly captures the change that takes place there.

Looked like a tour bus went by. I'm surprised there wasn't competition for that spot.

Great video, Alan and I love the photos. The first scene looks awesome both in color and in b&w. My favorite is the second scene, though. Beautiful colors and I like that you are photographing bigger scenes too. The reflection shot is also great. I'm looking forward to watch the rest of the trip.

Alan, you’ve already set the standard high but the second image took my breath away. Like legit felt tight in my chest. Or maybe that’s from not working out...

Ah the mistakes while trying to film video. My normal mistake is to leave the blades open. I did learn something though, I never thought to put my dark slide where you did.

When I saw the first image on Instagram, I wanted to write " this is the least impressive image from you". After listening to the concept of making this image, well, very well done.
