Yes and no actually. Luke shaws bad at 1 v1 with a good winger unless he is at Centreback he does the sweeping like Martinez. They both compliment one another both covering each other.

@@muhammadfirdausfidrishah345 Shaws probably our best full back on the ball imo. He looks the most comfortable with dribbling and link up play. My only problem with him is his positioning sometimes

his ball possession & progression, defending , long range passing, capability to invite and defuse opposition pressing, his presence alone offer so much tactical depth, i think there is none from the squad who can fully replace him, yet and yeah he is essential to ten hag system

@@impossiblemovies323 Dalot is average at best, he's not great. Clearly you haven't seen other right back in the league and how dalot does. Once awb got injured and dalot replaced him, we were in a series of poor performance because he struggles to link to the wingers and obviously cannot defend. Awb is by far an excellent tackler and defender as well as being able to play quick through balls to the wingers. His ball retention is also better if you check his stats.

Our form dropped off when he got injured last season and this season its even worse. He is so vital for us, progressing the ball and defending the box has been our weakness this season and its were licha excells. Evans starts because he brings the progressing passes from the left. He benches Varane, that tells you how important it is for ETH to have that

We also missed him and Varane as a paring. They were a big part of all our clean sheets last season. They gave stability to the backline, also with Casemiro in front of them

Flipping hell. I watched almost every Man UTD match last year and knew Lisandro was good but never thought that he was this good. We need him and Casemiro back as soon as possible

Our precent defense, all they know is back pass. Dalot, to Varane, Varane to Maguire, Maguire to Onana. Onana keeps the ball for 2 minutes 47 seconds, then pass it back to Dalot or Maguire. Then Maguire shots inside and we loose the ball and as well loose position to create counter attack for them when the midfield is empty. What a beautiful players we have now.

I have begun to see the picture of what team Eth is trying to build. A team of tenacious and creative footballers. Players who can recover the ball, keep the ball and attack, aggressively. The likes of l Martinez, Mount, Bissaka, and Antony would be the spine of that team. This team has been hard-done by injuries this season.
