2 жыл бұрынHey folks, getting stuff done on the homestead need to do list. Today we are doing preventive maintenance on some of the homestead equipment. Doing your own service work is being self-sufficient, and that's what homesteading is all about, right!

Hey my man. New subscriber!!. To be honest I clicked on your video because I just purchased a 2023 Mule. But I subscribed because of little Thomas. I have a little man named Mason and he and Thomas must be doppelgangers. I watched this video and said 'How in the world did Mason get in this video". Ha ha ha! The only issues I ran into, and they really wasn’t that big of deal was #1 tight area around the oil filter and #2 servicing the front differential, you will need some kind of tube attached to a funnel to refill the reservoir. Other than that, servicing was fairly sample

The latch in the center of the bed holds the bed up. Pull down and latch on the round frame bar.

@KawaDSrider, thanks a ton for that info. Just hoped out of my recliner to go check it, sure enough, there’s a latch under there and works just like you said. That will come in handy. Thanks again

You used 1.5qts of 10w-40, 2.5qts of ATF, how much gear oil did you use for front and rear differential?

When it starts running out the full hole, it’s full. So I can’t really tell you how much I used

How often do you do all these changes? 50,100,200,hours etc…

@Jig Man, I may only do mine every two years. I guess it all depends on how much you are using your wheeler

Is anyone having an issue with the mule turning over and over on a cold start? It will start , but after about 10 seconds and it’s rough at first until the fuel starts to flow. I’m a little confused by this cause it’s fuel injected , I do wait till the pump shots off before I turn the key. I put some injector cleaner in yesterday, I’m thinking I might have some bad fuel in the tank. I have 200 hours on it now, it’s. 2022.

@17forever64, I haven’t heard of any fuel injection issues. Mine is not fuel injected, and my mule starts normal during cold temps. It very well good be some bad fuel.

@@jathomestead I agree, I’m gonna go get some non ethanol fuel today and fill it up! We run it a good bit, that’s why I didn’t even think twice about using fuel with ethanol, but we have boat fuel here, so I’ll use that!

@Chevy Driver, you are correct, the tranny and front diff calls for gl5. The AMSOIL severe gear in my opinion is a better oil for diff’s which is fine for replacing gl5
