How do you layout the visuals in your UX portfolio? How do you design your UX portfolio and showcase your work?
Do NOT just put screenshots of your UX work such as wireframes, user-flows, journey maps, artboards, personas, etc.
There are 3 common mistakes people make with the visuals in their UX portfolio:
🚫Mistake 1: Visuals are too small & shrunk so small that I can't even decipher them
🚫Mistake 2: Visuals lack context & don't have labels or explanations
🚫Mistake 3: Visuals that only focus on the final product or deliverable and not the process.
🤷‍♀️💡In this video, I will show you exactly how to layout and design the wireframes, visuals, etc in your UX portfolio so that they make sense to the user of your UX portfolio.

Ha!! I'm a no-nonsense type of person ... there's too much surface level UX content out there. We don't need more opinions, we need more examples and how-to type stuff ... if you ask me ;)

Hi Sarah! Thanks for the video. How would you handle annotations for a portfolio review presentation (during interviews)? I've read that putting too much text on a slide is not ideal as people don't read and listen all at the same time. Would putting the callouts and talking through them verbally be okay in this context?

You approach sounds like a great idea if you want to create a separate presentation that might be slightly different from what you send prior to an interview ;)
