MY interpretation of this video is IT DOESN'T MATTER if you are with someone or single. In the end, love yourself because life is short, so embrace it.

I think there are two morals in the MV. 1. Love yourself, choose yourself - Everything in the world ends at some point, be it relationship or friendship but the relationship that you have with yourself lasts forever. In the first part, he was sad but everyone else was happy and then in the next he was happy and everyone was sad. Only by loving yourself can you be happy and see the world around you happy as well. 💜💜 2. Take chances in life, Death is inevitable In the first part, when V dies, his facial expression is sad but in the 2nd part, he has a smile on his face. I think the meaning behind it is, Take chances, achieve your goals, death is inevitable so you might as well take risks and do things that you really want to do so that when you die, you die knowing that you had a good life and made tons of great memories. 💜💜

Moral of the story: If you don't love someone, you will die. If you love someone you will die. So Love Yourself and move on. 💜

Thank you guys for waiting the 24 hours, unlike o a lot of reactors who didn’t. V’s dry humour is totally depicted in the mv, he did say it’s a witty song about the and of friendship and the beginning of something else. This mv really has the sense of humour V has, dry, sarcastic with undertones and the smirk at the end is so Tae, his ‘gotchya’ face. Lol. Loved it. But for me the best takeaway was the song, the vocal gymnastics and the sound choir at the end. I can’t wait to see this performed live especially with the soul choir that backed him in the song. It will be such a great live.

Ending…love yourself

There are basically two theories for now. THEORY 1 : When V was single, everyone around him was happy and next thing when he had a partner, everyone was fighting/unhappy. V dies in both lives which indicates that people either single or in relationship cannot be happy until and unless they truly love themselves. THEORY 2 :- In first life, Tae was lonely and unhappy and he died being sad. He was unhappy till the end and was probably wondering why his life turned out like that. However, in the second part, he got to experience love and companionship so even if he still died, you can see that he was smiling laying in the pool of his blood. Even after he woke and saw his past self beside him in the bed, he smiled because he finally put an end to "friend" and experienced love. This shows love is beautiful. It has the power to make your life better so that you have no regrets whatsoever.

Taehyung's power is no joke ,Taehyung is an unique artist. He didn't make songs following the trends just for money and views. He showed himself through his music taste. that's why i love.

Y'all, it's just like the Bangtan Universe - repeating timelines and/or alternate realities, and Tae has to find the right outcome - which is to *Love Himself* - which is just what that album trilogy was about!

Love V, Love this -- hate that they kept killing him off, but as I read in another comment, "...love yourself because life is short so embrace it..." I like that interpretation. And, not to mention, all in English and I love how his English sounds!💜

When someone doesn't have a love life, he think everyone who are in relationships are perfect and very loving. But afterhe get into the same situation he realized no one is perfect (see their fightings and imperfection side) and they have their own problems too which he didn't notice earlier. All of Taehyung’s songs give a calm vibe, the type of music that gives you chills, and makes you obsessed with repeating, V puts in the FRI(END)S MV a unique taste, relaxing but raising your adrenaline, slow but fast, even the pronunciation of the words is so smooth, the song is such mix of perfect things together

My theory is that if you are alone, you die and if you are blinded by passion you also die, so first let's love ourselves and then try to love others so that the world remains normal... I think the beginning of the music video is like his life as an idol. Always seems like everyone else is in a relationship and he's not allowed and it's "killing" him. Then the middle part is he's finally in a relationship and it causes chaos all around him. Army and his company being upset and that's "killing" him. Then the third part I think is him just realizing that to get the HAPPY ENDING that he wants he's just going to have to LOVE HIMSELF. I think thats pretty sad. Army needs to do better and let them know we love them and want them to be happy and loved. And that will make us Happy. I know Alot of Army's feel the same way as I do. They deserve to be loved. Tae is such a mood. Loved the MV, loved the song, and especially loved his vocals. Listening to the song without the visuals lets you concentrate and hear his vocals. I have been listening nonstop. It's stuck in my head.

I interpreted this video in a couple of ways. One is finding self-love, whether you're in a relationship or not. Also, i interpreted as with so many idols, news of them being in a relationship causes others around them to not be happy. It causes strive and agreements between many that use to get along but now don't because of their options. In the end, maybe learning to live with two sides of yourself, the public person and private person. Both the same, but that way you can be happy, others can be happy and you don't feel like you're dying inside.
