Veerapan best and ONLY chance of a normal, even decent life was surrendering to DCF Srinivas. But I think his brother Arjuna mislead him about DCF Srinivas at the time of their sister’s sucide and he brutally killed and treated his body with indignity. This coupled with the 22 police killed near Palar bridge in 1993(?), talking ill of the very wrongly of Jayalalitha, sealed his fate.
