you almost choking with the proposal scene almost killed me haha This song is awesome. So easy listening with super great vocals and a groovy vibe as well. I love how chaotic the MV is. To me, it is not a dreaming sequence but more like how it feels to be in that "are we friends but not friends situation". He is miserable, then happy with the person but all ends on a bad note because he is "dead", not going anywhere. They are still stuck as friends. Then we have the scene with him with himself and it seems to be like a "I'm fine with just myself thing". At least this is how I'm interpreting this whole mess haha BTW, if you look the couples in the background there are so many crazy things happening, like the girl choking the guy, the couple with the banana, the hotdog with creepy looking expression... amazing.

I like very much this MV, the song and Taehyung’s vocals are insane. The end with two Tae I don’t know but he admired Dr. Strange and the possibility of different alternative worlds is my theory. In the last scene one Tae is awake because the first history ended but the second Tae is still asleep because he just died in the second life. And his final smile: solve you the riddle he said to the viewer 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Thanks for your reaction 💜

I love the song... so much Tae. My favourite part of the MV is the end with two Tae and the smirk. There is already a joke circulating about how Tae died in every video (Hwarang drama, Love Wins All), so he knew Army wants him NOT to die and negotiated with the director to die twice. 😂 Armys are funny sometimes, no matter what Tae says (He once said Army is not funny). Tae clowning Army is his love language by now.

I take from this video, which I loved, that you are responsible for your own happiness. If you aren't content with yourself then whether you are alone or in a relationship it will not work out well - he died fgs. You can add to someone else's happiness and vice versa but you can't be responsible for how they feel, only your own emotions. And I guess, considering everyone outside his partner just ignored his death, we also need to realise that our own lives are pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things - Life Goes On - but it is a bit sobering to think that it goes on without us as if we had never existed (except for the people who love us).

First - I love your reactions! I feel like I’m watching BTS w a well informed musician friend.🙂 Next my MV observations coupled w an interesting theory from my twter feed. MV starts with Tae #1 in a lonely and frustrated dream. I noticed the plain muted colors in bed linens and Tae’s clothing. Plus when he awoke, it was raining, his tub was empty as was his frig except for a sole small leftover container. Then he has to face loving couples no matter where he goes and when he exits the diner there are red heart balloons so were the crazy diners celebrating Valentine’s Day all awhile Tae thinks about his Friendship with his longtime special friend. Then the car accident means the dream ends with him being all alone in the street. Tae #2 awakes in a bright colorful bed with his special friend turn into more. Their clothes are brighter, the tub is full of a bubble bath & they have food to make a yummy breakfast on a beautiful sunny day. Now they are the couple and the former couples are as odds with ea their partners. When they leave the diner, Tae is hit by the car again but he isn’t alone. Last scene of the two Tae’s. Twter theory I like is Tae #1 is on the left side of the bed and this Tae is from his 1st lonely dream. Tae #2 is the one in the right side of the bed and just awoke from the couple in love dream. Then of course the most Tae thing ever - his adorable mischievous smirk 😏 like he is saying now I leave it to my brilliant ARMY to figure it out. 💜🥰 I love this song! I love Tae’s voice! I love this MV and the wonderful acting. I love all of our fab 7 voices and every bit of BTS and solo content. I’m so thankful for all the amazing work our precious 7 have prepared for us while they fulfill their mandatory military service. I pray for their safety, health & look forward to their return to their family, friends and their ARMY! 💜

I'd love to give an opinion on what it all means but I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. I can understand on the surface about when you're in relationships and you're not - and with Tae (as a celebrity) this can be an even harsher reality. But my gut is telling me there is much more to this and I will have to wait for a video from V himself to explain what it all meant. On the other hand, the lyrics themselves seem pretty straight forward. With my luck I have it backwards and the lyrics are more complex and the video was just in your face lol.

I donʻt have a solid take on the ending with himself beyond the fact that no matter how relationships end up, we are still left with ourselves. But since the song is about ending a friendship because of love I think he dies each time because the friendship dies when you cross the line from being friends to lovers regardless of how it ends up, happy together or heartbroken and alone (whether you try and fail or the other never felt the same). Iʻm almost inclined to believe that little smirk at the end is V saying "and let the theorizing begin"
