A new chapter commences as I set off from Pennsylvania with a rejuvenated Jeep! First, I make my way to the Adirondack State Park in northern New York for a hiking adventure in the High Peaks. Then, I continue east toward Bristol, Vermont, to explore Green Mountain National Forest and some ancient backroads.

Chris, you have the patience of a saint. As someone who has done videos, I FULLY understand and appreciate how much time and effort you put into setting up the camera, getting the shot, then going back for the camera. It's just insane.

If you had been in the the more southern regions of the Adirondacks like the Moose River Plains you would have needed to use that bug bucket! Would have been neat to bump into you or sight your rig my little guy would have gone nuts! We have had a ton of rain here in New York, this past weekend Thursday- Sunday was the most sunshine we have seen in a long time!

Love your channel and content. I hope to do what you're doing oneway. I have a suggestion that will imensily help travelling in the rain. Treat your windshield with Rain X. You will have increased visibility and won't even need to use the windshield wipers. It's very inexpensive and easy to apply and one application will last for months. Safe travels, Marc

Chris, your vids are absolutely the best out there as far as the 4wd exploring the country goes. Some traveling, some hiking, some four wheel driving, sandwiches, coffee shops and a whole bunch of camping. I so look forward to every Friday's next adventure. You really do feel as if you are riding along. Your attention to detail in setting up your shots and vids are incredible. If you ever wander into the 51st state of "Superior", Michigan's Upper Peninsula keep an eye out for a Sandstorm colored F.J. Cruiser with "Superior Overland" badging. I always am on the lookout for an orange Ruby with a Jackson on the roof. Cheers!....................Barry

Beautiful work on this video in my home state (NY). The neon green color in the leaves is so beautiful. Within a few weeks, all the foliage will be a much darker green but for now, everything looks illuminated. Please be careful when out hiking in shorts and short sleeve shirts, this is serious Lyme tick territory.

From an environmental stand point the difference between the Adirondacks and the Green Mountains is profound. Geologically the Adirondacks are part of the Laurentians and the Arctic Shield and the Green Mountains are a continuation of the Catskills and the Berkshires, the Appalachian Mountains. As far as biologic diversity, the Adirondacks are full of old growth and dense growth forest. The Green Mountains were almost completely clear cut in the 19th century. This means that the Green Mountains lack the diversity of the Adirondacks. Both are heavily used however. The Adirondacks have always been about hikers and back country camping. The roads that Chris refers to in the Green mountains are because of the heavy logging. There was and continues to be logging in Adirondacks but only on private land and as the New York Constitutions says the rest must remain forever wild. Too wild for a 4x4.
