Love the chrome bumpers and windshield wiper cover. Think the original c3 is the best. The 82 was good looking too as it went to retirement.

9,894 miles, that's outrageously amazing. That car is worth 3 fortunes. If I had that car I don't think I'd want that zero to turn into a 1 on the odometer.

I believe GM chose to use 435 hp as an advertised horsepower rating which was a honest number but that 435 hp was realized at just 5800 rpm. GM chose not to advertise the horsepower rating at the actual 6500 rpm red-line which increased horsepower to 505 hp. From the mid 60's thru 1970 the insurance industry was really pressing to limit horsepower, so to appease the situation GM simply advertised the horsepower rating taken at a rpm that was lower than the point where the engines peak hp was achieved.

10susan10 hate to say it Susie q there are no simulairaties whatsoever between the two engines sorry but Ford isn't that smart !

How come there is no episode of the 1962 Pontiac Grand Prix Super Duty 421 or the 1964 Chevy Cheetah (Shelby Cobra killer)?

Well it was a L72 bottom end, the L89 was aluminum heads with L71 was triple two barrels. No argument of the value of aluminum heads for weight 75lbs is a quite a bit, not going to add hp though, they are identical to the iron rectangle port heads. All the power gains if any are coming from the notorious for hesitating triple two barrels. It's worth noting the L72 and L89 ran exactly the same times in quarter when tested in 68'. It term of cool factor and collectors value it's no contest though.
