Casey, thank you for not showing the accident. After 30years in law enforcement, I can guarantee it’s likely to be some family’s worst day of their life. Showing some class instead of views. Nothing but respect.

I'm always watching and listening to Casey's videos, gathering little tidbits and nuggets that come in handy later. His talking about getting in the gate: We were all taught to be nice, polite, and patient. But some people didn't get that lesson apparently. Becoming the problem when something important/quickly needs done is very good advice! You don't have to like it but when time, money and equipment is involved you do what it takes. Casey hangs with the best folks, it's always a pleasure seeing them in his videos. Sorry Jeremy's weekend didn't go as planned, but Casey helped him out. That's when you find out who your friends are, you're truly blessed if you have friends like Casey. Stay safe and GOD bless

I grew up in a house trailer business. My dad instructed me to always place the spare tire in the traffic lane behind the trailer before I started cracking the lugs. He said people will run over the reflectors, flares, and you but, never run over a wheel and tire.

In emergency services we are taught to park diagonally when possible, people recognize a car isn't moving if they can see the broad side of it in an area where it shouldn't be faster than they do if its inline.

I like the comments about why you park to connect like you do - one big factor is that facing the wrong way, you break the "normal" pattern we are all used to, so our minds catch it a little bit easier and hopefully makes traffic more aware. Forcing them to slow down to go around is a good thing in your situations!!

Parking in the gate is so true. I was delivering brick to a place and they would take one pallet and then load 3 customers, 1 pallet off and another 3 customers. I got fed up so i pulled right between the gate making it so their customers would have to back up to get out. I was unloaded in 5 minutes after that

I've had three vacations end on the back of a tow truck. BTW, AAA wants an exorbitant amount of money to add trailer coverage to your account, and doesn't even bother to send a truck with a tow hitch to tow it with you. Twice they wanted me to leave an off-road trailer unsecure on the side of a road. That thing would be gone in 30 minutes with no chance of recovery.

Casey tell your friend to get some solid rubber chocks, those plastic ones will NOT stop a trailer that size, I've got one probably 4k pounds lighter and it will absolutely crush them and roll over them. The only reason I even kept mine was the help keep the uphill wheels from rolling a bit which helps with interior shaking, but the downhill side always gets the solid rubber ones now after i almost lost my trailer into a creek (luckily it stopped on the cement stop curb at the back of the site!)

I am 77 years old and have had 14 Ford trucks and one Dodge Ram. I currently drive a 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel 3.0 truck. If I buy another truck it will be a Ford. Several of my Fords had over 250,000 miles and have never had reason to complain about any of my trucks. My 3.0 diesel has never let me down as I drove over 60,000 miles each year driving over many states to cell phone towers. I am a believer In Fords which has sold more trucks than any other for a number of years.

I'm still angry at the group of people filming myself & 3 other drivers immobilize/cpr a biker who was literally dying with his head in our hands in the middle of the highway. What kind of footage did they think they'd get? An old dude with a 3 inch dent in his skull gurgling his last breaths while we burn our knees and forearms on the hot asphalt? Go sit in your car - you're nothing more than in the way!

Big kudos for the respectful way you dealt with this. Can't be nice to see for you either. LOVED the views. I'm begging right here for more of that. Just... looking out the window coming along on the drive is quite relaxing and wonderful to watch. I don't get to go anywhere, but online, (thank goodness for the world wide web!) so every time you film those views, I feel like a kid who gets presents 🥰besides already enjoying the videos. I have been on camping trips with people using self contained overhead campers as well as big 5th wheels like this one. If you are planning a weekend you pack for a week, planning a week you pack for 2 weeks. When you run out of refrigerated and freezer food you should have canned food and then the emergency stash of freeze dried food. Plus 2 full tanks of Propane and a full tank of potable water. The emergency kit always has bottled water, first aid, etc. Campers are an extension of your home, so why not pack it like one!

Another reason to load in the oncoming lane that's kind of specific to racetracks and similar venues: After the start of the event, more traffic is leaving than entering on average - and the closer you get to the end the more pronounced that gets.

I've never understood the morbid fascination people have with gawking at road accidents. Someone else is having a really bad day, and your inattention is likely to cause another incident. In the UK, the police predict that a mile in the opposite direction from an accident, there is usually another shunt of some sort as people focus on the accident site, rather than what is happening in their own lane. Cars slow down as people now want to video things (??) so that they can review it in slow time!! Some police forces now video traffic in the opposite carriageway slowing down etc. so that people can be contacted and "advised" about their poor driving skills. The highways department also has barriers that they can deploy to shield the accident site from onlookers, doesn't stop the F**kwits from trying to see though. Other than that, you spoke sense when picking up the vehicles, to be safe be the problem they have to deal with now!

If it’s a fatality you will be setting for a long time because before they can clear it they need to do all the investigating and measuring and photographing.
