I like how the background around 2:32 implies that Sprice is floating or on top of the water instead of at the beach, which is what the rest of the machine implies.

It’s amazing how much effort he puts in. Imagine how difficult these are to make/ get ideas, and then how many try’s it takes to get it all to work in one go. Very well done!

Genuinely the best themed machine I've ever seen. And "vacation items" is such a specific theme too, not something like "kitchen items", which is a lot more broad. Sticking to that theme was challenging enough when building Pass The Pepper, so I'm very impressed with how well you stuck to the theme in this; barely any items here that aren't themed! Some balls, some K'nex, some dominoes......and that's basically it. I liked the static angle approach, but I will say the keyframed crop/zoom in post to follow the motion felt really disorienting and messy. I think keeping the shot wide would have actually been fine, especially with the later coverage of the details in the screenlink version. Finally, let's talk about that ending! I was definitely enjoying the machine up until then, but that greenscreen reveal got an audible laugh from me - REALLY freaking clever, and very funny. I'm realizing now that I can't remember the last time I laughed at a machine; you and Joseph are just about the only ones intentionally working in comedic beats into your projects, actually trying to make the machines humorous. And usually when watching, I obviously understand the jokes and stuff, though they don't make me laugh out loud. But your greenscreen reveal actually did, so nice job! During my field study, Joseph told me about Rowan Atkinson's lessons on physical comedy (they're on KZfaq, they're great!) and one of them is about how big objects suddenly appearing or disappearing can be very funny for some reason. I think that's part of why the greenscreen gag works so well, plus the element of surprise, since you never show it in the b-roll or anything.

That final blooper really set me laughing "How do i stop it?"
