The silver dial version looks by far the best to me. Only black and blue ones ever come up for sale pre-owned where I am, so I guess a lot of other people also love the silver.

That on-the-go adjustment feature is great. Super simple and really all you need to dial the fit for most watches.

I've always prefered 1st and 2nd generations, 1st is my favorite. I don't like 3rd generation bezel made from 2 parts - ring and cross.

I had the foresight to be on the lookout for one of these before things got completely out of hand, but sadly not the courage nor the planned budget to get one when they were still reasonably priced. It’s too late now

Keep looking mate. Same happened to me as I was going for a blue dial and had s chance to get black or silver dial but passed. Did pull a trigger when a good deal came up on chrono24. The deal will come up eventually just need to be ready to pull the trigger quickly

Did i hear that right? No hacking seconds? How is that possible? That is something you can only find on the cheapest watches, plus, it completely defeats the point of any chronometer certification

There's no way the true end link to endlink measurement is 52mm. That's probably the internal measurement. Externally it is more like 56mm - in fact 56mm is what was stated on a previous review of the black dial version of the same watch.

Seriously. Because of that I'd be to check out the so-called women's model in 37mm, assuming similar bracelet it'd have around a 48mm lug to lug at least. Small-ish dial and long lugs gives a unique presence.

Not a fan of the seconds hand- it should have been either lumed or just straight without that arrow. Nice watch overall- still Bronze Medal when it comes to the Big 3 Integrated watches- AP Patek Vacheron

Patek?? Pulled off even bigger sizes on Nautilus (eg the 42 mm of 3711G). The VC OS 4500 ranks top for me (out of the holy 3): innovation, straps change systems and micro regulation, 150 m waterproof and antimagnetic, top look. It is simply registering a deserved hype …

I like it a lot, but honestly, I like a DJ41 with a silver dial, jubilee bracelet and fluted bezel just as much if not more.

At about a third the price the DJ is a great choice..depends what you want the VC is all hand made high horology masterpiece…the Rolex is a tough as nails timepiece that is perfect for a machined watch

@@ugaais yes, I know the difference. I prefer the Rolex. I do like the VC, I know it’s part of the Holy Trinity, and know it’s “high horology” relative to Rolex. Maybe I’m biased because I’m getting the DJ41, but either way, I still prefer it.

Nice looking watch, but not on par with the legendary designs of Nautilus and AP Royal Oak, which it's supposed to compete with. The date window is large but font too small.

Why so many still covet the AP/RO when this VC/O i readily available at a 1/3 third of the price is beyond me?? Off course I understand the lack of knowledge and "peer pressure" plays a big part but come on. Just do some unbiased reading. AP has some of the worst warranty numbers of all Swiss manufacturers whereas VC is on the upper level. Not comparable with JLC though but then again who is? I´d pick this one over a PP/N or PP/A every single time. PP has, despite their evident class, unfortunately become somewhat of a rapper/ballers watch. VC is still the equally rugged and sophisticated gentleman's watch.

@@Celestial_Coda Can you expand on your answer? Does hacking interrupt the balance spring and if so why is that a problem? Many fine watches do have hacking seconds. Are they wrong?

@@edwardb7811 Just to be clear: I'm just echoing what those high horology brands say. VC and Journe basically say "never disturb the balance wheel". Hacking is, of course, forcibly stopping the balance wheel, which I imagine is quite a bit of impact. That being said, Hacking doesn't really matter, the watches are off by so much per day it doesn't actually matter as long as you know if it's fast or slow.
