This was a fun video! Reminded me of my very favorite video you did where you tested a variety of vacs on the new carpet. You are a masochist only using a Vax blade for an entire month haha. I hope you spoil yourself in may and use the VB100 to get the taste of the Vax blade out of your mouth.

fun fact for you Ford introduced the edsel in 1958 for their middle price range since they only had one car in that range , the mercury , and the other two companies, GM and Chrysler, had more to choose from. I'm glad to have an edsel, they are an oddball car but they have some impressive features but sadly in 1958 they were ahead of their time and only survived from 1958 to 1960.

I purchased a new old stock USA made Hoover conquest (looks identical to yours, even the same bag) on line, turned out to be shipped from a small vacuum store in the mid west USA that called me to ask what kind of bag I wanted shipped with it. At the time of purchase I had no idea what I was going to get (did not know about the different locations of manufacture, just that it was a Conquest and I always wanted one, got lucky with it being an older one made in the USA). It's hands down the smoothest running (quiet motor and mechanism), most heavily built upright I have. Snag some spare belts (there are two I think that are used in these units, part number 38528013 and 38528036 ) and a brush roll (48416035) before they go sky high in price, shop around. I think all parts for this model have been discontinued, except the Hoover "A" HEPA bags.

Yea, no reason to be dogmatic about vacofthmonth; it’s a nice idea but your opinions are what we really like with your expertise whicheverway!

If you want to store vacuums away with their batteries installed, put some scotch tape over the battery terminals on the battery before putting it back in the vacuum, or store the battery inside the vacuum itself. Vampire drain can bleed the life from the battery even with the vacuum off. The battery can still lose charge when stored disconnected but it will happen at a slower rate.
