Damn, all that extensive modding was so nerve-wracking to watch but it absolutely paid off. She looks absolutely amazing now and the combination of all chosen parts really was a worthwhile leap of faith to get a definitive Rogue...! The new head/hair combo with the double barbel neckjoint really brings a lot of life to her posing too.

I'll be honest, I thought you were ruining all 3 figures at first, but after seeing the end result you really did a great job. I feel the Select jacket on the Retro body really helps bring out her shape more which makes it definitely more cartoon accurate! Although I think I would have used the Select's hair, but, I feel like none of them are really that great. Though both the Select and Retro have much MUCH better hair than the '97 one. That hair is just awful.

I prefer the retro hair over the Select cause it's a bit more natural. The Select hair is kind of blowing in the wind so to speak.

We're all anticipating that Mafex Rogue. Meanwhile, in Japan. A talented artist is working on perfecting the quintessential Rogue action figure. And if that recent Superboy is ANYTHING to go by, that Rogue might even get a softgoods jacket.

Kind of weird they haven't gotten around to her yet. I think their Psylocke looks fantastic but the Jean head is kind of weird looking to me.

This came out amazing man! I was so nervous watching you take every figure apart to put them together, but it worked out seamlessly. I personally hate the print tech they do for the modern day Marvel legends figures. It just makes their faces look so fuzzy so I’m glad you redid the eyes and brought more life to her face too

Fantastic work as always from VADtoys! The Rogue figure we truly deserve. The one we should’ve gotten from the beginning. Only thing I wish you did is gave her the legs with the sculpted boot details, but I think the old legs have a better musculature and proportions anyway. Also just wanted to say your work here on KZfaq has inspired me to start customizing myself. I’m working towards a full Smash Ultimate display so many of those characters kinda have to be customs; right now I’m making my own Donkey Kong figure and I’m really excited if not a little terrified also! Wish me luck!

I wanted to use the pinless legs for obvious reasons but the less paint rub I have to deal with the better. I prefer the more saturated green and yellow over the 97's paler colors as well! Also good luck! I've been meaning to do something about the WON Donkey Kong's goofy grin for a while.

This was very difficult to watch. This figure I would never touch. IMO she is just perfect. Every time I post a picture of her, everyone wants to know if she is back in stock.

Oh that was just a heat and pop, the arms on this guy are the from the old Toy Biz arms so he has the little purple details underneath if the coat arms ride up too far!

Not bad. Cool. You also could've used the soft goods coat from the Toybiz ML Rogue figure. Pop out Siryn's arms to replace the coat arms on Rogue, and there you go.

I very briefly considered it but it's prone to fraying and the fake leather kind of flakes off. It's also annoyingly unruly in how it never wants to lay right.

@VADtoys I understand. I'm kind of having that issue right now. I'm thinking about peeling off the fake leather and using brown dye. That way, I don't have to worry about being all flaky.

Hmm... compared to the 97 body, the arms do seem to be around 1-2 millimeters longer. If it ends up bothering me in the future I might just snip them off. It's a very easy procedure since the glove cuffs are seperate pieces and would cover the entire thing.

What if you just hallow out the select jacket sleeves completely and wrap them around the regular legends arms , glue them in place if you have to

Because of how the joints work it would be far messier. In order to maintain any outwards movement I'd have to make huge grooves at the top of the shoulders. This is by far easier.

Love the end result of your hair swap mod. But i dont have such skills to even arrempt such a mod. But the 97 rogue head with the retro rogue hair is really nice. I always thgt the 97 rogue face was too cartoonish and disliked it as it isnt like the old animated series yet after seeing what you did, my opinion of the face changed dramatically. Hair issue was her hair, not her face

So is this like the new thing, cuz I got inspired by someone else doing a similar swap with the Marvel select and Marvel legends, I found a different way to give her double jointed on my own and also gave her a dumbbell joint in her head except mine wasn't like an official one it was the junkiest thing I made

So, I have to ask. I’ve tried for weeks and months to paint eyes and I just cannot. I was super curious, and I know you probably don’t take commissions or anything but, I have a lightning collection Pink Ranger I desperately want the head repainted for. If I were to send you the figure(I will pay for shipping to and from as well as whatever you’d like to be paid for you time, paint and mental health 😊) Would you be able to repaint my Kimberly civilian head for me?

Hey! I'm flattered but I'm pretty insecure in painting female faces and I only take commissions for stuff I know I'll be able to pull off. I would suggest instagram to find a suitable artist who take commissions! You're also free to have a look at any of the vids where I show how I paint eyes or just ask me if you need help with anything.

What do you use for paint ?? To repaint the figures? I use acrylic but it doesn't stick right

I use acrylics. If the paint doesn’t stick then try sanding the surface with some fine sandpaper

Is it possible to join the siryn arms to the Marvel Legends upper arm similar to how you used the select arms? I don’t really want to buy the select version just for this lol

It's *kind of* possible. You won't have a swivel unless you do some heavy modification and I'm not sure how much bend you'll get if you want the elbows at a natural height since the Legends jacket arms go pretty low. They're also alot thinner than the Select so I'm not sure how it'd look but if you get around to trying then I'd love to see!

Not a fan of a new figure's face, looks like a random barbie face honestly, not a Rogue. Decent result, but butchering three good figures for this didn't worth it imo.
