man I really want that rick figure. I've wanted to do my own custom for a long time but I'm trash at sculpting and too poor to commission a 3D printed head sculpt. I was gonna use one of the marvel legends hulk bodies but do a new head and feet with a flesh tone repaint and it would look pretty good.

Surprised you opted to paint instead of using Jessica Jones or Night Nurse.

The sandman show was awesome. Really enjoyed it, sick to see your bring Sandman to life here. I'll agree with you though, I think a new body is definitely in order. If you'd like to go with a 7-inch scale, the new superboy could be a good starting point. Cheers!

Have you seen the new figma Solid Snake? It’s pretty much the same figure but they repainted it and redid the head to make it a little closer to the in-game model. I’m curious to hear your thoughts about it.

The movie pyramid head was very skinny, I think a better base body would be a Marvel legends pizza Spidey mold, or even the Marvel select one (tho I think it has sculpted webs on him).

This is great! I always thought that we were robbed when it came to NECA’s BioShock line, since there are so many characters in all three games that didn’t get made into figures.

Great job with the cape! I have the same problem - with the current cape, Vader looks like he has no neck! I will likely just do a straight up replacement with my Black Series. However, I won’t get rid of the old cape as that can still be useful if I want specific posing shots.

How about making a custom echo from a bad batch based on the concept art of season 7 of the clone wars? I think it will turn out to be a very interesting custom. Because it will be some mixture of echo Arc and bad batch.

You don't prime the model in any way before starting? I always thought the enamel paints / varnish factories use don't take acrylics well. I've heard someone recommend spraying matt acrylic varnish as a primer, to keep the original colors as a base and create a better texture for new paint to hang onto. Do you feel that's unnecessary?

I agree, that's why I keep Supreme Strange as the OG of the display for now, maybe they will do a better version later.

Fun fact, Peter Cullen’s (the voice actor for the Predator) idea for the Predator’s famous clicking sounds came from a dying horseshoe crab laying upside down making “clicking sounds”!

The original head was pretty good, but that swap and fix is excellent.
