An unprecedented refereeing decision by Gil Manzano prevented Real Madrid from beating Valencia at Mestalla. With the score at 2-2 and in the last play of the game, Brahim crossed into the box and Bellingham headed home to make it 3-2. But the referee disallowed the goal as he had blown for full-time when the Malagueño's pass was still in the air. The LaLiga leaders deserved all three points, but had to settle for a point after coming back from 2-0 down. referee should never end the match during a chance it's football etiquettes, that's the reason why the match end with a referee whistle not a timeout. if he whistled before the cross it would be more acceptable but if the ball is already inside the box he should never end the match there.

You need to end the game at some point. He decided to end it before the cross came in. No, the ball was not in the air, or maybe only just. You can't tell whether it was a bad decision without seeing how much added time was allowed and how much action took place right before the final whistle. In any case, this is _definitely_ not something you'd want to fire a referee over, and it is shamefully and disgustingly unsportsmanlike for a club, especially one of Real's history and standing, to say the game was "settled by the referee's decision", even calling out the referee by name.

Time was up. Was the referee supposed to keep playing until someone scored. He started whistling just as the kick was taken, so his decision that the game was over was just before that. There is no rule that allows play to continue after time is up in case a goal might be scored.

I’m sure if Valencia had scored when the stoppage time clearly said 7 mins and they were still playing for 9mins+ we would be complaining too. I don’t see it as ref error. The whistle came in with the cross so 🤷🏾‍♀️

You don't see the error? It’s an unwritten rule albeit, but he’s still a robot to the rules, unable to read the pitch. I sure wouldn’t want him the ref of a bigger match than this with the flexibility and independent brain cells displayed here…

You forgot the fact that during the extra time, the VAR was consulted for like 3 mins. So playing beyond 7 mins is justified, but this ref is too retarded to remember what he did several minutes ago.

1. Stoppage time is extended according to the ref's discretion. Time isn't extended second for second for each delay. 2. Ref waits for ball to go out of the box, as soon as it happens he puts the whistle to his mouth then blows. Nothing wrong there. Its coincidence that brahim crosses just as the first whistle goes off. 3. Whistle goes, play has to stop. The defenders stopped. Two whistles had already gone before Bellingham headed. So the goal does not stand. Simple as that

He also gave a penalty in added minute which went to VAR and wasn't a penalty but that check took over 2 minutes. Also 7 minutes was was way too small for all the stoppages in the match but okay.

Real Madrid taught the referee well, they have successfully managed to remove the allegations on them for paying the referee If I had influence on referees and was being accused of something, I would've told the ref to take action against me. Well played Perez

An interesting game that the referee showed that he has no regard for the fans. I am disappointed with the role of the referee but I blame real Madrid players for starting poorly and playing without commitment for most of the game. Modric showed why he is a masterclass and his Balon d'Or wasn't a mistake. The referee needs to be checked. This is beyond unfair.

Watched it at 0.25X, refree blowed the whistle just as the ball was kicked. It’s not even in the air yet when he blowed the whistle; yes the decision was correct.
