This video shows 6 laps of a GPS Sports Class Triangle being flown.
The plane has a RC Electronics Sparrow and Tek nozzle fitted.
The ground station consists of a Snipe with it's stereo audio output being fed to a Sony AX53 camcorder and the data being fed to a Samsung S9+ Android phone running the Albatross app. The picture on the phone was a screen capture and also a Mobius Mini camera was fitted to the top of the wing for extra footage.
The synchronization of the audio and 3 videos was not easy and there is maybe a slight mismatch sometimes.
The Snipe gives you extra audio compared to the Finch, which is a cheaper receiver. If you listen on headphones you will hear the Vario coming from the left or right depending on which side of the course you are flying in. The Snipe also gives you 3 lots of beeps, warning you the arrival of the turn point.
In addition to all of this there are 31 different flight and data parameters that can be viewed at the bottom of the screen.
At the end are 2 screen grabs from the GPS Triangle League website showing the completed course flown and the indexes for each lap, 100% would be a perfect index.
This information is available after you have uploaded your flight log to the website.
This flight did not offer much lift, but without any lift you might expect 4 laps.
I think the current record is 21 laps in the 30 minutes available from 400m altitude.
