I love how Beethoven baits us twice about the recapitulation : 3:20 "ok the first theme comes back, the end comes soon" 3:26 "nah actually it's more development" 4:13 "ok NOW it's the recapitulation." 4:20 "see? it's the whole theme this time" ... 4:27 "or is it ?" 4:37 "MORE DEVELOPMENT"

The ground theme is amazing, he couldn't have left it out only for beginning, end, and central 10-13 second development. The whole piece is built upon it, changing it up, but it flows so perfectly, he couldn't have possibly not done what he has with it.

I have watched Valentina's videos for years, and they never fail to bring tears to my eyes. The lightness and grace with which she plays is one of a kind. I have loved Beethoven since childhood; in my first few years, I'm told, I would cry if my parents played me any other music. And when I heard Valentina play his music in adulthood, I thought: "This is how these songs are supposed to be played. This is what Beethoven meant when he wrote these notes." Truly amazing, Valentina Lisitsa.

I studied as a fine artist and within that field of study repertoire, I also listened to classical music. Through the madness in school I was going through at the time, a good solid basing in classical music was one of the few things that kept me centered as well as sane. I journeyed to a well known library one day and went through the music encyclopedias of the great past composers. One of the issues that came into my thinking then, is how were these greats able to craft such fantastic symphonies and other musical scores without going nuts themselves? The sheet music scores of some of these pieces looked so confusing. I never forget that time spent in the large music section of the library. I feel that we all live by the dualities of both visual as well as sound variations. "This helps us grown as a peoples". When I listen to you, I am taken back to just how that particular composer wanted to convey as an idea what they thought up and simply said so by their artistic flare and said it. To-u Nicely played. I noticed that you've got you sandals on, "The barefoot contessa", Thanks you so very much. I adore your music and your gift to reach out. Notes on Beethoven. He had a condition which was proably present at birth. I've heard that all the while in his career, that his ear cannels were progressively closing. It is proably estimated that this is why some of his symphonies are so loud. He proably learned to hear with the soundwave coming to the meat of the skin of his face, in order to hear and apricate exactly what he was doing, conduction wise.

One of the keys to playing this correctly, and she does it to perfection and beyond, is ensure that you are playing in 3/8 time as written and not feeling it like 2/4 time in triplets. This is accomplished by placing a slight accent on the 3rd beat of each 3/8 measure which is more difficult to do than falling into the triplet trap.

Music is truly another dimension in and of itself. This genius completes the picture of human intelligence. Take the work of the composer, add to it the skills of the people who created the instrument, bring in an artist who masters the first two and "wa la" a recipe for magnificance. Thank you Valentina !
