Valentino Rossi VR46 debuts at the GT World Challenge Europe, Imola 2022 - Audi R8 LMS Evo II GT3

Күн бұрынValentino Rossi VR46 finally debuts in the GT World Challenge Europe and does so over the weekend from 1 to April 3, 2022, at the Imola circuit. The multiple motorcycle champion faces a new challenge in his long career as a racing driver and does so aboard the WRT Racing Team's Audi R8 LMS Evo II GT3. His teammates will be Nico Müller and Frédéric Vervisch. I enjoyed seeing him in action on Wednesday, March 30, during the afternoon free practice session. Rossi is there, ready to compete in the first of 10 races of the 2022 calendar divided equally between Endurance and Sprint Cup. Enjoy! 😉

Il pluricampione di moto affronta una nuova sfida della sua lunga carriera di pilota e lo fa a bordo dell'Audi R8 LMS Evo II GT3 del WRT Racing Team. I suoi compagni di squadra saranno Nico Müller e Frédéric Vervisch. Ho avuto il piacere di vederlo in azione Mercoledì 30 Marzo durante il turno pomeridiano di prove libere. It will be entertaining to see how Rossi does. Years ago there was a picture of him hanging out of the cockpit of a Ferrari F1 car ready to drag his knee through a corner! Very different world for Vale.

Yeah he made many private tests with Ferrari and in 2006 he tested with the actual drivers in an official test, he was also very fast, so fast that there was a plan to give him a sit in a small team affiliated with Ferrari and then put him into the Ferrari seat if he was good enough, but in the end he decided to continue with the two wheels

I’m unashamedly a life long Rossi fan and never understood quite why he got so much hatred online during his MotoGP career, constantly being called a dirty racer and having so much negativity thrown his way. If you are a true race fan and can’t appreciate his support in having helped thrust MotoGP to new heights and being the leader of a race academy for an entire country while still active, I’m not so sure you’re a real race fan. As an American it was a shame to hear what Kevin Schwantz had to deal with during the creation of COTA. It seems the more you truly love motorsports the more you will encounter backlash.

I think all of this is envy, and it's a real shame. I love motorsport, and I don't hate any pilot. These stupid attitudes are typical of football, and luckily I stay away from them. Let's try motorsport remains healthy.

Rossi just need complete hole of racing on 24 hours of le mans. He was almost get to F1 when still in Schumacher era.

The biggest regret for us motorsport fans was that he decided to continue racing motorcycles and not try an F1 career. Although I'm convinced he would have achieved excellent results, Ferrari was an extremely competitive car then.

Si, assolutamente, il livello di competitività di quel campionato è molto elevato, inoltre Valentino andrà a sfidarsi con gente che è abituata a correre in GT3. Sarà una bella sfida nella magnifica Imola 👍

grande Vale!!! in un'ultima intervista in merito alla famosa rivalità con Biaggi è stato molto onesto, ammettendo che era lui a cercare "rogne" con il più affermato Biaggi (al tempo). Il bello è che in quei tempi Rossi passava per il "simpatico" e il povero Biaggi era l'"antipatico".....ora pare siano addirittura amici, il tempo sistema tutto...

I think Rossi is doing well and that he will do really well, but to be fair i don‘t think he‘ll be at the niveau of the absolute GT3 Pros like Marciello,Bortolotti,Estre,Kvdl or some other drivers, i think he‘ll always be just a bit slower than them.
