I can't get rid of the feeling that the people who came after the Aurora season and the people who played before it are completely different generations. This season has changed a lot

I think season of sanctuary deserves a mention for the amount of players it brought to the game. It happened as covid was at its peak and was probably when we had the most players actively playing! It was so much fun to experience!

While Moments is new I think it could potentially be on this list too, so far it’s brought one of the most beautiful areas in the game and a new, in depth camera feature that is ripe for making memories! I think if you do this again in a year or so, maybe have it be top 10! So many seasons have changed Sky forever in so many amazing ways! :)

Omg yes, Season of Aurora is easily the best. Prince would be my second story wise (I haven't played Shattering, but I heard it's really good). All of Aurora was enjoyingly soloable, but when you did see others it made the exp even better, esp the finale. I'm just sad I didn't know about the wing thing, I'd love to exp it again 😭🤍

Enchantment definitely deserves a spot, probably in the place of Prophecy. Abyss also deserves a spot on the list because it introduced the swimming mechanic, which has actually been used in Season of Moments

Another thing about AURORA is that it brought in so many more players, including me. As an aurora moth, that season is held very dear in my heart. I never would have known about sky if it wasn't for her, and that's a crime for me.

Great list! But I do think Flight should have gotten a mention here. It introduced the Wind Paths, which is a huge mechanic imo

Came here to post this. I'm probably biased since it was my first season but I was, like, "I feel like I'm the only one I know who actually uses Wind Paths but it doesn't even get a honorable mention? 😭" Still a good video though

@@jjyce2128It did! Back in season of Gathering, you had a week to find the spirit before the next one came along. I remember it being exciting to get the spirits once they came out hahah 😅 I’m glad the quests don’t have a timer now 🥲

I don't think Aurora deserves first place tbh. While I do think it deserves to be on this list--it paved the way for Festival Tech being used everywhere--I think there's more impactful seasons than it. I think Shattering is first place, given how big of a gameplay change it made. I think Enchantment should be on this list too, since it introduced seasonal quests and zones and set the standard for every season going forth. I'd also like to give an honorable mention to Flight. It started a "new era" of seasons--every season since Flight has had four spirits, many of which have full outfits. Plus the Wind Paths is a good addition, too.

I guess this list comes with "fondness of each person who contributed." I've a fondness for Shattering and Aurora because they're the two seasons of my moth era~ But seeing the comments about the other seasons makes me grow fonder for them, especially since the time I played them as a moth. I'm only a year old Skid, but during the first months of my moth days which was the cusp of Shattering, I didn't go to Eden. So, I was clueless to the change in Eden it brought. I wish I had experienced Eden before it updated.

This is so cute! I was during my moth era during Season of Rhythm, It’s so cute that so many different people have started playing at so many different times! ✨ It must have been kinda scary being a moth during Shattering tho haha ^^ I’ll always be fond of Rhythm, even if I didn’t know how seasons worked and was pretty clueless haha ❤️

@@ValForestGramps oh it excited me. I was apprehensive of how to approach the shards, but at that point I have learned that red shards are no-no. Corrupted krabs are no-no. Next is gameplay style, or getting used to the gameplay. Its fun! Im fairly certain it brought me more to expect in game than anything. I hear Rhythm is fun and got very pretty cosmetics. Its not as innovative I think, but who cares when cosmetics are pretty!!

For some reason a lot of players didn’t like Shattering, but tbh I really liked the Shard Events, especially when they used to happen every day! ❤️❤️ Yeah, Rhythm didn’t really change sky, but I remember back then everyone was super hyped because it was the first season to have outfits since the ‘cosy pants’ in Season of Belonging haha, but now most seasons have outfits, which is super cool! ✨

@@ValForestGramps tgc got themselves a pretty good scolding from fans because the outfits are rare. Theyre even changing wardobe choices now! Theyve separated the shoes from the pants and tops. Soon we will have shoes are only cosmetics to get. OH NO!!!

Season of prophecy was cool because of the Anubis Mask. But nothing can overtop season of rhythm, personally. Because it’s the season I started playing sky.

hey, aurora moth here - was season of performance the one that added player recordings? i feel like that one deserves a mention.... but if not, disregard me. i know nothing. also i know this video is half a year old now, but if it was made today, i feel like revival would have made it onto this list! literally adds a new home area, that's huge actually

I agree with almost everything but I don’t rly agree with the spot that the season of prophecy took. I still absolutely loved that season and is one of my favorite but the other two that were below it did much bigger things to change sky forever, such as the little prince being the firsts collaboration in the game, and the shattering one introducing a feature threat would stick in all maps for ever. I like the season of prophecy but I think it should be 5th place because I think it was mostly based on preference honestly.

Each season in sky has around 50% paid cosmetics, and 50% available to players for free! ❤️

@@ValForestGramps the 50% available is always atleast a few hundred candles, that take months to finally gain and buy the cosmetic, and when you have enough the season ends 😂 so buying candles will be the easier way and the company will get more money. sky may be beautiful, but everybody knows its just a cash grab and p2w.

@@DripBanana23 I know a lot of players feel that way, but personally whenever I buy a Season Pass (or even when I don’t!) I just do my daily challenges every day, which gets you more than enough candles to complete the season! Of course, the option to buy extra candles is there, but every player can easily end up with 50+ candles excess by the end of a season if they do their daily challenges! ❤️❤️ I think the thing about Sky is that it’s a slow process, but some players choose to speed it up with purchases, however, this is not necessary to complete the season, and is only a personal preference of the player doesn’t want to wait to obtain the cosmetics! ✨

I kinda disagree with the significance of the Prophecy season. The whole trial thing feels out of place to the rest of the Sky world. And due to the trials' relatively high difficulty, time needed to beat, and low rewards, they are the least popular levels nowadays. You could barely encounter strangers doing trials with you (except those who know shortcuts and just flash by you...), especially the Fire one.
