I just came back to it to watch this just because of the impact that spoken line had on me while I was watching the Walkthrough of the game some time ago. That stuck with me heavily. It also deeply touches me. Glad somebody else found that, too.

You can hear him actually breaking up a little there. His voice breaks even more when he says "I hope we'll one day meet in heaven"

I figured put how awesome this game was by playing it. I bought an Xbox and the dude had it on there. I loved it.

I originally was gonna miss this one too but as it was coming out I started to really like the narrator and so I bought it just for that and didnt regret it since this is a gem of a game.

The gameplay was a little boring. But all throughout it's a 9.9/10

@Fuck you A gold ol rub The puzzle mission were just a bit tedious. They could have done better. The history aspect is nice. And the emotional anti-war story is incredibly good. This is one of the best games Ubi ever created. BUT as I said. The puzzles were tedious more than once in this game.

@@canicheenrage The Montreal team isn't even that bad the only games I've really seen people cry about from them Is Farcry 4, Watch dogs, and AC Unity. Most recent games from them like AC Origins are actaually pretty damn good.

@@MedievalRainChannel Yes Assassin's Creed 2 was a masterpeice, it was emotional at parts and the music was fantastic, in fact mostly all Assassins Creed games from the Montreal team have been amazing, Unity wasn't that bad but its not the best, and don't come at me about Odyessy or Sydicate that was a different team. And their other games the Farcry series Farcry 2 was really good and detailed and is alot of peoples favourite, Farcry 3 people loved, this one is probably considered the best FC game, now Splinter Cell those are some of peoples Favourite Stealth games ever made, and the Rainbow Six games, Siege is probably one of the most popular First person shooters out there right now. All studios have their goods and bads even Montpellier, like Zombiu, and I guess we'll have to see how Beyond Good And Evil 2 will do.

After all it’s fairly clean for a war game. With a breadth of meaning far different from what many contemporaries can convey. It is extremely tempting.

It is an order from the general, the officer is not a bad guy, he was forced to do this, otherwise there will be no discipline in the army. A good example is a Russian army after collapse of Russian Empire, but before the October Revolution. Officers were not allowed to send soldiers to attack, until "soldier committee" agrees too, and ofc they never agreed, because noone wants to die.

Same here. A couple of months ago I played this and also another game called "Spec Ops: The Line". I have never since taken solace in a FPS military game, and I am glad about that. War is no game. If you can get hold of Spec Ops, I would urge you to play this as well for its incredible story.

Yeah, it makes me sad that it doesn't gonna have a sequel, it's just a 100th anniversary of WWI you don't make a sequel of an anniversary 4 years later and even if it has a sequel Emile is dead now so se wont would have our heavy-hearted frenchman. Also Valiant Hearts is better in terms of plot than in gameplay IMO, the puzzles are somewhat boring and dont represents a challenge to an average gamer.
