I’m so happy for Kamila that she finally perform her clean „Bolero” without feeling unsure 🥰 Of course Sasha was a hero of the day. Coming from this injury (reminds me a little bit of Yuzuru Hanyu) and performing like that 🔥 My heart goes for her since juniors. Hope that she will jump five quads clean at the Olympics or even be better at the short program (3A). Honestly I didn’t expect Anna to fall on her quad. But there is still some time to improve, maybe she hasn’t got the best technique but she works hard and you can see that she loves this sport ❤️

Kamila is really something special being able to go out and deliver like that with so much pressure! And she's improved so much since last season mentally and in her overall performance! Sasha honestly surprised me with the shape she was in, and i am so proud of her for going out and delivering under the pressure of making the Olympic team. She has also improved heaps in her performance and skating skills from last season, and i can't wait to see the finished products of these two genius programs at the Olympics! Also I wanted to add that anyone that wants to complain about Sasha's pcs here, or possible uncalled rotation issues, she is not the first person to get help on these sorts of things- in fact she's usually the one who DOESN'T get the special treatment.

Valieva is like money in the bank, she has great programs and is perfection once the skates are laced . AVT is my favorite skater , she gives it her all and is just amazing . I love the Cruella theme and how it builds . if AVT hits all the jumps it will be mind blowing awesome . I love Anna . The three of them are triple threat in any competition . There are many great Russians . They need more slots . I would love to see one of them skate to the theme from Unbroken . It builds from start to finish and then cools down, great music for a program.

As much as I admire Alexandra Trusova, during this performance, Kamila Valieva out performed her. Kamilas movements were simply smoother, unhurried, expressive, she followed thru all her postures, she did not over do any of her routines, her body was loose/ limber, she moved like a cat and she actually enjoyed her performance! Previous to watching this, I watched Tonya Hardins Olympic performance from 1994, shocking, that against these three Champions, Tonya would not rank so much as an amateur. Now, I am going to watch these three performances, again...well, actually for the forth time. Congratulations to all three Champions!

I feel like it's time we give Sasha the credit she deserves. She started the quad revolution and worked herself to the top. She's never been the favourite unlike her teammates who are continuosly being handed generous GOE's and PCS for "being pretty". Hell, a lot of people are only now realizing that a good amount of Russian skaters suffer from the same low-quality skating disease they've been giving Sasha crap for years. (If I see one more person claiming that anyone other than Kostornaia has decent SS I am throwing hands.) I am so glad that Sasha keeps working for better and she's becoming more of a fan favourite now. I don't claim that she doesn't have issues with her skating because we all know she does, but I think it's time we appreciate her efforts more (and also realize that her teammates have been getting away with a lot more than she has.) PS- Sasha and Aliona are the only ones in their team who can jump properly. Fight me.

All these people talking about "If Sasha didn't start doing quads then no women would be doing them" is the biggest load of bullshit you can say. Please do your research. In 1990, French skater Surya Bonaly was the first woman to attempt 2 quads in her program, she did not land either one, but this was the start of it all. In 2002, Japanese skater Miki Ando was the first woman to land a quad ever at the Gran Prix final. So no it wasn't because of Sasha anything, many women put in much effort before this to pave the way to showing that it could be done by a woman. And Sasha's whole camp was practicing quads, which is why Sasha and Anna both landed theirs in the same year only months apart, but different types of quads. Sasha landed the easiest quad, a QT (Quad Toe Loop) with a base value of 9.5, while Anna landed a QLz (Quad Lutz) with a base value of 11.5 and is the hardest quad you can attempt next to the Quad Axle which has only ever been attempted by a male and never landed. I love Sasha, Anna and Kamila but credit has to be given were credit is due.

Kamila truly deserved that win, and Sasha's free skate was amazing, 4 quads!!!! Anna was definitely overscored at the event but what's new? I hope she regains her quad for the European championship, otherwise, they might consider giving the third spot to Liza. Also, Ted annoys me when he compared Kamila to Yuzuru. Excuse me? Kamila is miles away from Yuzuru when it comes to jumping technique alone. Kamila and Sasha may be my Russian faves right now, but they do not compare to Yuzuru. Ted just needs to keep quiet.

I get that a lot of people don’t think Kamila should be 40 points ahead of the other girls and yes, she MAY be overscored but she is a phenomenal skater. She had the best spins, quads, artistry and create choreography, don’t forget about her short program, it is truly what made her win.

I really really really want Elizaveta to go to the Olympics, but I just don’t really think she’ll be chosen over Anna. Anna’s skating doesn’t do a lot for me, and I love Liza’s story throughout her skating career. I’m fine with Kamila and Sasha going. If it was my choice of who I want to see at the Olympics, it would be Kamila, Liza, and Alena Kostornaia.

Trusova needs to enjoy more the program and improve her components, she bets everything in the tech score. I agree than she pushed to improve all the other to do quads.

Learning the quads with hands in your air must give you more height it makes sense you know you're pulling your whole body upwards because how can this woman finish the quads when the men already been doing it

Sasha needs to skate clean with 3 quads and focus on her spins and artistery... Kami should focus on her jumping techniques.. Anna should work harder so she can deserve her magic marks... I hoped liza is qualified too :(

Tuktamysheva should go and represent the country in the Team Event, even if not selected in the individual category. That would be fair as Russian team has a possibility to win gold or silver in the team event.

Sasha's Olympic program had the highest base value (3A + 5 Quads) but unfortunately, she fell on her 3A and didn't land all quads cleanly. She could've had that gold had she landed either the 3A or 5quads cleanly.

kamila is only 15 (allegedly cos russian team likes to fake the age).....but her skills are elegantly powerful and with so much grace. She is probably the most exquisite ice champ since 2000.

Again the Russian Rocket showed that all are wrong. 5 Days ago the most thought she would not go to Olympia or have to fight with "Liza" for the 3rd Ticket. Like always it came not like this. First time I really saw a QUEEN on the Ice! What a cool Girl she is what a fighter with just 17 years of age. She deserves to go to Olympia. Kami is an beautiful Figure Sakter with great artistry but by far not perfect. But is she not just a better Anna or an Anna with and 3A? Replaceable like the most! For me Kami is boring. I can't say that it's that surprising or anything. Valieva, Trusova, and Shcherbakova are going to the Olympics. I had questions about Trusova especially after she got pulled out of the Grand Prix, I wondered if her injury was that severe or it was more strategic, obviously it was strategic, they were just taking zero chances. They wanted her to be ready for Russian Nationals and she was... In the end Tuktamysheva never stood much of a chance, maybe her best bet might of been to beat Shcherbakova but after she struggled in the short, that probably wasn't going to happen. Shcherbakova also has the body of work over Tuktamysheva, winning 2 gold medals in the Grand Prix. So I think the National team for Europeans and Olympics is pretty much set.
