Pongal is a festival celebrated by the Tamils from time immemorial. It is a festival where farmers pay homage to nature and all the animals that have worked with them. In Tamilnadu it is celebrated for 4 days every year. And it's celebrated all over India under different names!!

90 % real stunts %10 CGI 🔥. They shoted original speed when bike goes camera also goes in original speed with special Rig. 🔥 especially One stunt scene took 18 days 💥.

"Pongal" is the Rice harvesting festival of Tamils. It's celebrated as "Lohri" in Punjab and surrounding Northern states. Achara nailed it with Ponggal. BTW Ponggal is the rice harvest festival. So kind of a big deal in Tamil Nadu and for Tamils, as its an agrarian based society. Kinda the TN equivalent of releasing a Summer blockbuster, releasing a movie during Ponggal.

PONGAL - பொங்கல் ..The word basically is a verb and denotes the Harvest festival, its when the rice that's kept in a pot to cook boils over and the foamy Rice starch spills out of the pot ..That instant of rice boiling over with the foamy rice starch is identified by the word Pongudhal. ..or Pongal ..

Ajith is a professional F1 racer and Bike racer...He does all his stunts on his own, even in this movie there is no body or stunt double used for him...he is the one driving through those glass panels, doing x-bike kinda free style wearing BLACK COLOUR BIKING SUIT, he even jumped from a building to building in this movie (With help of crane)...

Ajith was a car racer before he started his acting career and many of the stunts (I think most of them) were done by himself. You can find blooper videos on KZfaq where he gets hurt during attempts and also many successful stunts.

Pongal is celebrated by Indians under lot of names like sankranti in some of the northern and central part, Pongal in southern part and in areas like Punjab it's called lohri in gujrat uttarayan and so on for all different states it's way of farmer paying tribute to nature and also there's change in Solar position so it's scientific as well religious to us......
