Valley View TX Tornado Survey from Rotorway Helicopter 1

Күн бұрынWell it was the night of the May 25th 2024 that we got woke from Bad storms, and checking radar I see a hook cloud heading right at me. I'm blessed that the tornado it formed passed about a mile south of me, but this is some of the video that I took that followed the path of the tornado. Sorry about the head mounted camera, you see about everything I need to see and check as I scan while flying.

4:31 Wow! You couldn't land there in a Robinson. The exhaust would ignite all of that brush.

Yeah you would be ok in a robinson. their exhaust is high and or up and out. You will get significant discoloration from the heat blast from the cooling air off the cylinders on the 22 though. Always good to err on the safe side, but you would be fine.

@@captianhardy R22 exhaust is well below the lower right corner of the cooling fan shroud. Just above the ground.
