I think you missed Chamber and Widow, they are both French and are both snipers with a type of bomb/device that activates when you get near it, definitely very similar!

Why not add killjoy too? It makes sense to compare chambers slow AOE trap to A damage trap that deals 15dmg per second for 5 seconds, and his sniper is and ultimate with 5 bullets that 1 shots even when shooting the legs.

@@Venom_EditZ123 ow1. the only good thing about ow2 is it's engine/graphics update. definitely feels a lot smoother. gameplay and mechanics wise, fundamentally ow1 is a lot better. a lot of the character changes in ow2 were so unnecessary and the game as a whole feels pretty unbalanced.

Look, I see most of these similarities, but that Raze and Tracer one was a bit of a stretch. Raze's satchels aren't meant to be, and are only rarely used like that. They're used like Junkrat's mines, just like you showed in the first vid.

i don't want to be that guy but, taking an idea and not completely copying smth is fine i guess, i mean it is a mash between counter strike go and overwatch but it hasn't been done, i mean the similarities are there but it's good took 2 games and made 1 good game which is cool i guess. Just my thought. Didn't everybody took the battle pass from dota i mean they have done it first i belive since 2013 and everybody just made there version which is good is it not? i hope i made sense.

Dota did not create the battle pass concept. The first game to implement it was fortnite and then since then other games have been creating their own versions.

@@xxprologancool3538 Reyna heals herself and her Dismiss can be used to get out of tricky situations. Literally a DPS Moira lol. That makes her kit easy to grasp for me. (I do DPS Moira sometimes on QP, but only when the DPS aren’t perform well (Gold/Silver Elims, Gold Healing)) Besides, Valorant is mostly focused on frags, that’s why most Sentinels with heals only have limited healing output.

I would say that Reyna is a mix between Moira and Reaper, back when used he to have souls orbs as healing and he also has the same the phase through ability.

I mean there will be similarities always even if you try to be original because of how limited you are with the abilities. You'll end up giving an agent abilities which someone already implemented in a different game because of the how common it is even if it looks unique to one game.

As someone who plays both games I can say that it's so different, chambers teleport and symetras one are nothing alike , they serve completely different functions , same with tracers ult and razes explosive , also overwatch did not invent these mechanics , an explosive being thrown out is a super common ability in games , demoman , ziggs ,bomb king all have explosives on their kit , when you take these abilities off context they look like copies but like I said they serve different purposes

To people saying some agents / heroes seem like 1:1-kits of each other? Yeah- Why would you reinvent the wheel? Valorant has a gameplay that balances between competitive LTS games like CS:GO and Team Arena Fighter like Overwatch. Someone coming from OW can see Omen and grasp his gameplay quickly in comparison to someone from CS:GO knowing which weapon they should buy. Bringing me full circle to my point, like if this is a carbon copy then what about the guns and armor? Is that not a carbon copy of CS then?

It is. It also takes from apex. Nobody is saying that is necessarily wrong, just very unoriginal. I get they wanted to steal the cs market when they made the game, but it’s a shame that the foundations are taken from the mechanics of one game and the abilities are a mishmash of other games that have been MUCH more experimental in how they approach making mechanically distinct heroes to play. I mean shit, valorant agents themselves are taking from other agents in the game lol. Look at skye and fade. It’s just funny

Yeah overwatch copied teamfortress 2 Mercy = medic (ignore how one is more mobile while the other is better at pocketing what matters is one ability both share) Bastion = heavy (despite one being a tank and the other dies in seconds) Phara = soldier (ok now this is just a plain copy, both flie, shot rockets with knockback and can delete your team with a barrage of rockets) Sym and torb = engineer (again both are just 2 different playstyles a engineer can have but as separate characters) Sombra = spy (both go invisible) Tracer = scout (both are fast pieces of shit) Widow = sniper (they literally copied sniper scope dmg ramp up system) I'm surprised they can get away after doing this kind of stuff, the fact valorant copied overwatch is just Karma tbh.

if you think copying isnt bad, you have to realize that overwatch went experimental while making these agents. majority of agent abilities were unique. you cant just tell me that copying reaper's look and iconic tp ability while making omen is ok, its not. its stealing. im a valorant player but its so sad that they dont come up with unique agents, shit, sometimes valorant even copies itself while creating new agents.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didnt overwatch come out in 2016 and valorant come out in 2020? I know people take ideas from other games all the time but it literally looks like reapers teleport was copy and pasted into the game with no intention of even trying to make it look different. And alot of the abilities are too similar to just be a coincidence like the massive wall and stuff such as mei's ice wall. Look I honestly don't really care and plus I dont even play Valorant so it's fine

You're just showing things that look alike you don't mention raze satchels deal 8 dmg and are designed to displace enemies or use them like boosts you could've better shown junkrat than tracer which used her ult, chamber tp is only for himself, that neons laser is her ult, astra wall is a sensory hinderer (sound dampening and visual blocker) that can only block bullets, Reyna requires a kill which you show which is a very big difference.

Riot is good at the technical aspects of making games. the creative aspect hasn't been their strong points. As they don't really create new ideas they just execute ones already done really well. Which is fine

Between this and the other video Overwatch just looks better an cleaner visually. Valorant looks like it's 90% there but needed more polish visually. I've never played it so I can't say how it feels to play. As a bystander it's missing something.

Funny, bc I think the other way around. As a Valorant player who has never touched OW, I think Valorant skill effects are more expressive and overall game design looks more polished. But then again, I say this as a bystander too. However, Overwatch has better character concepts overall (I love Wrecking Ball omg), since Valo cannot stray far from the generic human models due to the nature of their game.
