Dr. Joneal Kirby has a passion for mentoring Christian women in the Church. Because of today’s busy and transient culture, Dr. Kirby has observed that many young women are not experiencing the in-depth relationships and spiritual discipleship from women that she experienced as a young wife and mother.
Thus, she created a small group mentorship/Bible study ministry, based on Titus 2, where three or four older women mentor six to eight younger women over the course of a year. Dr. Kirby shares several stories about how this kind of mentoring has transformed women’s lives and their faith.

I love this so much! However, please let me gently correct what an introvert is. It is simply someone who recharges by having time alone. I am this way but very much enjoy social connection and deep friendships. I think what is being described here is perhaps someone who is having a difficult time feeling OK to speak up or be vulnerable with a group. Introverts don't necessarily fit this description. That said, creating a space for all types of women to connect in the church is so important! Thank you for the wonderful conversation and encouragement.

I’m mentoring many young teens and young moms right now. I would love to just have another ministry that’s for mentoring only. I’ve had many mentors in my life. And would love to share wisdom with other young ladies. Please pray for me and that God would open doors for me to do this.

You cant trust people....you confide in a Christian lady and she tells everyone your business...I'm a newly widowed. Love of my life dad to our twin boys and blessed to have had him as my pastor as well....I need someone, but no one understands what I'm going through....

Candice M...I am so sorry for your great loss. I have no idea what you are going through now. I've never experienced losing someone so close to me. God loves you, and He will continue to care for you. Please lean on Christ to give you strength. @@sarahko2014 its awful..wouldn't want anyone to loose the love of their life...God is my strength but it's hard..I cry everyday I miss him everyday...it was a misdiagnosed illness could have been prevented....lost my true love, my pastor and bestfriend

@@candicethepastorswife7396 so so sorry you are in the midst of this. Pray that God will bring you some women that have walked through this as well. I prayed that prayer years ago when I was struggling with my health and God truly brought some wonderful Christ loving women to surround me. Grief comes in waves and so hard...have you sought out professional counseling at all?

Also...just wanted you to know that I'll be praying for you. Here is a resource that might be helpful to you. One day you might be able to love those that are going through what you have. @@juliahemsley he was my pastor as well...so God has sent me other older Christian widow ladies.its been a blessing but it's just so hard he was my bestfriend....my everything..thank you for reaching out to me..
