I think Mike talks about how people are connected to their past and history. To be successful you must study your past but understand the past successes of the successful. Notice how he mentions that to be successful you can't really expect to do right by morality. Think about that for a second? He explains that a lot of his success happened because he colored outside the lines.

It's very sweet what Cus did for Mike. If you've heard Mike talk much in the past, you'll know he pretty much thinks himself ugly, but often has a bit of a big ego in other areas, so Cus bolsters his self esteem about his looks and makes him humble in other areas, to try and put him on an even keel, this shows a lot of love and an insightful mind.

Mike's one of those people you can never let your guard down fully for. Always got to be on your toes when it comes to him. That anger is only sleeping, it's not dead. He's definitely come a long way and he worked hard for his place in boxing history, that can never be denied nor taken from him. Just don't ever think he won't knock you out if the need arises.

I love how much he loves and respects his wife. Every interview I've watched, he speaks of his wife several times. He admires her and she's stuck by him through thick and thin. I think she was instrumental in helping him turn his life around. It's wonderful to see that he now knows real love in his life, and has.someone he knows he can count on.

I'm a 74 yr old white woman and I remember Mike in his heyday. I watched his fall and prison stint . I didn't have much respect for him, for the things he was doing. But today I have the utmost respect for him and the way he's turned his life around! Mike is very intelligent and a beautiful human being! I've subscribed to his podcast and you really learn a lot. I love how he loves his wife and family! I'm so happy he found a woman that understands him, loved him for him and has stuck with him through thick and thin. Mike's also got a great sense of humor and is so open and not guarded at all. I am a Big fan!
