Things which I learned after watching this video: 1) toughness is about enduring pressure. Enduring pressure means to make the right decision in a tough position and stick to it to the very end. 2) Enduring pressure by making right decisions in a tough spot doesn't guarantee that you are going to win every time, but you will surprise yourself and you will be more ready to handle the next challenge. 3) Enduring physical pain is also one kind of mental toughness, which is the most highlighted one in this regard. 4) Not showing pain is also a sign of mental toughness. Conclusion: It's all about a mentality of "just a little bit more" keeping saying it and pushing yourself is the key to success ultimately.

I was tough, physical and mental. I was 39, fit as only a military man can be. I did all the runs with my men. With 80lb packs. Then one sunny October day I was biking home from the base and I was hit by a car broadside. I woke up in the hospital. And all the physical toughness evaporated. But the mental toughness increased.

I swear I understood this when I got high for like 3rd time. I was walking with my friend in the night high as fuck, then all of a sudden I relaxed my mind, then so many deep thoughts came through my mind and this was one of them! And also I see this life just like a game, whatever you choose to do, even small small choices is what writes your future. For example you r in your class, you are quite. You control what people will think of you for the next 1 day, 1 week, year or for life depending on what you are going to do. For example you stand up and put your pants down and pee in the middle of the class room. If you are gonna do that you'll always be remembered in your class mates minds for the rest of their life, and that'll be a life where your class mates remember you as the wierd kid that peed in the classroom. But if you act like normal, then that life you could've had won't happen. I don't know if you read this far or get what I'm saying. But if you did remember you write your future and this life is a game and YOU control it.

My mom died 7 years ago. She was the rock of our family. We still feel her loss to this day. A week after she passed, my band and I had a show. A month afterwards, my hockey team and I won our championship. What I love about playing drums and being a goalie is the pressure because you’re the backbone for both groups. With being a goalie especially because the normal reaction is to move out of the way of something flying at you at 100 mph.

Not necessarily. People with ADHD lack the senses of urgency needed to pull that source of will. Urgency is the antidote to pain and misery of mismanaging your responsibilities. Certain people can’t build strength of will, they can only direct their mind toward that which helps them maintain their responsibilities without the human drive of will being present. The only way to become mentally tough is to start going outside your comfort zone more often and to do the things you fear. That’s because growth doesn’t happen when you’re feeling secure, but when you’re constantly struggling and doing the things that make you insecure.

I dont usually comment on videos but this one is absolutely amazing. I had a very important basketball game and I was nervous and scared that I might not be able to perform well, and I was thinking about not going to the game. But this video gave me so much motivation and trust in my skills and mentality, I was confident and excited to play. I played really well so thank you.

My Mother, Father, sports, my wife, kids, attending USC and life experience have given me my mental toughness. Marine Corps boot camp and being a Fleet deployed Marine gave me the experience in being pushed as close to death as one could be and surviving. I remember taking a Marine Scuba class in Okinawa. Day one, the instructor: "You will drown in the class or you will fail" ...we had to experience what it would be like to drown, and be comfortable with it...An experience I will never forget. It's a blessing being able to open our eyes every morning,.Take advantage of that!. These are tough times for us all...keep fighting..!! Fight On!

I've had bad ptsd and that's why people quit sometimes and I just want to say: don't underestimate or hate youraelf for messing up or laying down. Just keep watching the tons of videos out there that say the difference between winning a losing is getting back up and one day it starts to sink in and the fear lessens and slowly you get back up again and get back up again. "We fall down, but we get up🎼🎶💗". Your life is calling and thank goodness you will make it eventually and falling and failing is just a step in the process of trying and succeeding.

Goals !! When Lowest of lows hit think and make small goals, many small goals . If you fail, you truly didn't!! rise back up you have those small goals leading to the big vision of your path to strive for !! Even though that miserable feeling is a constant weight on the shoulders look back at the small goals and where you have accomplished them and how far you got . You will be amazed !! Edit: Wow what a co winky dink, he is literally speaking of the goals a moment after I had posted the upper

Thank you, thank you for this video! I needed to hear this and I have realised how mentally tough I actually am. For a while there, I was unsure, but your video was exactly what I needed to hear. I was in a situation where I recently resigned from my Exco position and stood up to a Board... and I lost because of their powerful relationships and corruption. It was hard, but I didn’t back down and stood by my beliefs. Though I didn’t get the result I wanted, the company’s DNA was shown to many stakeholders through their cold and deceitful public responses and people have thanked me for being their voice. Patrick, you helped me realize so much in this video. I am grateful!
