ചെറുപ്പത്തിൽ മാമന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന വാൾവ് റേഡിയോയിലെ വാൾവിലെ വെളിച്ചം കണ്ടു അതിശയിച്ചു നിന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്, ഒരിക്കൽ എവിടെയോ തൊട്ടപ്പോൾ ഷോക്ക് കിട്ടിയത് ഓർക്കുന്നു, ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു വിഷയം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതിനു നന്ദി,👍🙏.

അനിയാ വാൾവ് ആംപ്ളിഫയർ വീണ്ടും കാണാനായതിൽ വളരെ സന്തോഷം 😃 . എനിക്ക് 4 ഇത്തരം ആംപ്ളിഫയർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു . PQ 30 , ASE 30 , CA 70 , VT 150 . എന്നിവയാണ് . 30 , 150 etc. എന്നത് RMS നെ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു . ഇതിൽ ASE 30 ഒരിക്കലും complaint ആയിട്ടില്ല . കാലത്തിന്റെ കുത്തൊഴുക്കിൽ അവയൊന്നും ഉപയോഗിക്കാതെ നശിച്ചു , നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു 😢 . pq 30. Ase 30 എന്നവയുടെ OP valve ന്റെ കോഡ് 6L6 GC എന്നും മറ്റുള്ളവയുടെ EL 34 എന്നുമാണ്. (ഞാനൊരു ലൈറ്റ് &സൗണ്ട് കോൺട്രാക്ടർ ആണ് ) 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

You said it, the demonstrator should have mentioned the type and part number of the valves when he make the video about a valve amplifier, especially the pre amp side, driver valves and power valves EL34 can only deliver up to 30 Watts, but the next gen valves such as KT88 or KT120 are more powerful and silky, in a push pull mode up to 150 watts possible

Very interesting topic⚡!! Vacuum tubes produce smoother, warmer & rich sounds at its output. compared solid state electronic devices there is less chance for crossover distortion in vacuum tube amps. Digital amplifiers produce lot of odd harmonics and it will cause loss the originality of music, that is the reason to use tubes in high end guitar amps. They are costly but it can reproduce instrumental sounds better & clear

ഓർമ്മകൾ 1980 കാലഘട്ടം ( പത്രപരസ്യം )റേഡിയോ മെക്കാനിസം തപാൽ വഴി പഠിക്കാം മോഹൻ റേഡിയോ ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റുട്ട് ഒപ്പനക്കാര സ്ട്രീറ്റ് കോയമ്പത്തൂർ . ആ കാലത്തെ ട്രാൻസിസ്റ്റർ റേഡിയോകൾ ഫിലിപ്സ് ,ബുഷ് ,നെൽകോ , മർഫി , ഒരു വാൽവ് മാത്രം ഇപ്പോഴും സൂക്ഷിച്ച് വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് .

വളരെ ശരിയാണ്. ജാനകിരാമന്റെ റേഡിയോ നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിർമ്മിക്കാം എന്ന ബുക്കാണ് എന്റെ ഗുരു. പിന്നീട് ITI Electronics പിന്നീട് കുറെക്കാലം Audio രംഗത്തായിരുന്നു. കാലം പിന്നെ TV Technition ആക്കി മാറ്റി. LED TV ലേയ്ക്ക് കടന്നപ്പോൾ വീണ്ടും Audio രംഗത്തേക്ക് വരാൻ താൽപ്പര്യം. valve Amp ന്റെ Real Soud Quality ഇപ്പോഴുള്ള ഒരു ModenAmpനും കിട്ടില്ല. Sound Qulity ക്ക് കാരണം ഒന്നാമത് class Aയിലാണ് പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്. അതുകൊണ്ടു തന്നെ Heat ആയി Energy നഷ്ടപ്പെടും.കൂടാതെ valve ന്റെ Frequency Responsibily വളരെ കൂടുതലാണ്. ഏതാണ്ട് 10 min ന് ശേഷമാണ് ഇതിന്റെ തനിസ്വഭാവം കാണിക്കുന്നത്. Sound Quality യുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ ഒരു രക്ഷയും ഇല്ല. ഇപ്പോഴും UK പോലുള്ള രാജ്യങ്ങളിൽ ഇപ്പോഴും ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് ഒരു UK ക്കാരൻ മലയാളിപറഞ്ഞു. പിന്നീട് ഇതിനു ശേഷം വന്ന Jermanium Power Tr ഉപയോഗിച്ചുള്ള Ampനും നല്ല Quality ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. nostalgic video.

@@SmartTechMedia ഞാനും അക്കാലത്തു(1979) ഇലക്ട്രോണിക്സ് കൂടിയതാണ്. ഇന്നും പിടി വിട്ടിട്ടില്ല. പിയാനോ ടൈപ് ടേപ്പ് രെക്കോർഡർ വന്നപ്പോൾ ആദ്യം ചേഞ്ച്‌ ചെയ്ത IC BA526 എന്ന ആഡിയോ ഐസിയാണ്. തൃശൂരിലെ അർച്ചന ഇലക്ട്രോണിക്സിൽ നിന്നും വാങ്ങി.200 രൂപ യായിരുന്നു വില.. ഭയങ്കര വിലയായിരുന്നു.

വാൾവിനകത്ത്, പ്ലേറ്റ്കറണ്ടിനെ കൺട്രോൾ ചെയ്യുന്നത് കൊണ്ട് ഗ്രിഡ്ഡിനെ കൺട്രോൾ ഗ്രിഡ്ഡ് എന്നും പറയും. റെക്ടിഫയർ വാൾവ് വർക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല എങ്കിൽ, പവർ കൂടിയ ഏതെങ്കിലും സെമികണ്ടക്ടർ റെക്ടിഫയറുകൾ അവിടെ കണക്ട് ചെയ്താൽ മതി, വർക്ക് ചെയ്യും. പണ്ട് വില കുറഞ്ഞ ചില വാൾവ് റേഡിയോകളിൽ ട്രാൻസ്ഫോർമറിന് പകരം ബാരക്ടറുകളാണ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ഇത്തരം റേഡിയോകൾ സർവ്വീസ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ വളരെ സൂക്ഷിക്കണം, ഷോക്ക് കിട്ടാൻ ചാൻസ് കൂടുതലാണ്. സ്പീക്കർ O/P ലൊക്കെ തൊട്ടാൽ ഷോക്ക് കിട്ടും.

ബാരക്ടർ 🌹ഓർമ്മപ്പെടുത്തിയതിന് നന്ദി. ബാരക്ടർ ഒരു വേരിയബിൾ ഹൈ വോൾടേജ് അഡ്ജസ്റ്റ്ബിൾ റെസിസ്റ്റർ ആണ്. അത് ആക്കാലത്ത് ഏ സി യിലും ഡി സി യിലും വർക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു സംവിധാനമായിരുന്നു. കൽക്കത്ത പോലുള്ള നഗരങ്ങളിൽ അന്ന് ഡി സി സപ്ലൈ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു ത്രെ!!!!

An audio amplifier consists of two stages. The first is the voltage amplifier stage also known as the driver stage followed by a power amplifier stage. The small valves are voltage amplifiers and the big ones are power amplifier which adds current to the output voltage from thereby increasing the power to higher levels. The power amplifier has a parameter called trans-conductance which is the ratio of output current to input voltage. In push-pull amplifiers the positive half cycle of the input signal gets amplified by one valve and the negative half cycle by the second valve.It is in the output transformer these two amplified half cycle outputs combine to produce the full output. Here the trans-conductance if not identical results in the positive and negative half cycles amplified to different levels which results in distortion. To avoid this the trans-conductance of both valves should be identical. This is why matching is required for the output valves. A lot more things like crossover distortion should be discussed in the case of vacuum tube power amplifiers. I am stopping the explanation here.

വാൾവിനെ കുറിച്ച് അല്പം അറിവുള്ളുയെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും, പറഞ്ഞത് പോലെ ബ്രില്ല്യൻ്റായി കാര്യങ്ങൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. പണ്ട് വാൽവ് റേഡിയോകൾ കുറെ അസംബ്ലിൾ ചെയ്യ്ത് കൊടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. എറണാകുളത്ത് അന്ന് സൗത്തിൽ ഒരു ശ്രീ കൃഷ്ണ റേഡിയോസ്, പത്മ തിയറ്ററിനടുത്ത് ഇലക്ട്രോ ക്രാഫ്റ്റ്, എച്ച്.ആർ.സി ഇവിടെയൊക്കെ ക്യാബിനറ്റടക്കം എല്ലാ components ഉം സർക്യൂട്ട് സഹിതം കിട്ടുമായിരുന്നു. ഇന്നത്തെ പോലെ printed board module കൾ വെച്ച് രണ്ട് വയർ solder ചെയ്യ്ത് പെട്ടെന്നൊന്നും പണികൾ തീർക്കാൻ പറ്റുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു. main transformer,rectifier, audio, IF, oscillation എന്ന് വേണ്ട എല്ലാ section by section connections മണിക്കൂറുകൾ എടുത്ത് ചെയ്യേണ്ടി വരുന്നു. പഴയ octal type valves പോയി miniature valve കൾ പിന്നീട് BEL company ഇറിക്കിയിരുന്നു. Transistors ൻ്റെ കാലം പിന്നീട് വന്നെങ്കിലും works same. ഇന്നത്തെ PCB യിലുള്ള fault finding നെക്കാൾ എളുപ്പം chassis ൽ ചെയ്യുന്ന connections, components faults എളുപ്പത്തിൽ find out ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയുമായിരുന്നു.

എന്റെ തറവാട്ടിൽ ZENITHന്റെ പച്ച കളർ ലൈറ്റോടുകൂടിയ വാൽവ് റേഡിയോ (3Band) ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.ഇപ്പോഴത് കാണുന്നില്ല.

ഹായ്..നല്ല വീഡിയോ...ahuja വാൽവ് amb ആകുമ്പോൾ പറഞ്ഞ പവർ കിട്ടും....പിന്നെ ഈ amb മൈക്ക് സെറ്റ് out door ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നതായിരിക്കും ...അപ്പോൾ ഇത് റഫ് യൂസ് ആയിരിക്കും...

വാൽവ് പൂർണമായും അനലോഗ് സിഗ്നൽ മാത്രം ഹാൻഡിൽ ചെയ്യുന്നത്. അത് കൊണ്ട് മാത്രമാണ് ഇത്ര സൗണ്ട് ക്വാളിറ്റി.

വാൽവ് ഒരു തരം ബൾബ് തന്നെയാണ് ചേട്ടാ. ബൾബിന് പകരം എൽ ഇ ഡീ പോലെയാണ് വാൽവിന് പകരം ഡയോടും ട്രാൻസിസ്റ്ററും ഒക്കെ. ഇതിൻ്റെ ഒരു ചൊറ എന്ന് പറയുന്നത് പ്ലേറ്റ് വോൾട്ടേജ് വളരെ ഉയർന്നതാണ് എന്നതാണ്.

6-9 വോൾട്ടിൽ പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്ന വാൾവുകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. കുറച്ചു ചെറുതായിട്ട് സൈസ്സിൽ... മുള്ളാർഡ്, ജി ഇ, തുടങ്ങിയ ബ്രാൻഡ് ഓർക്കുന്നു ഞാൻ

ഞാൻ കുറെക്കാലം Mumbai യിൽ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ valve Black & White TVകൾ അഴിച്ചു കാണാൻ അവസരം കിട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതിൽ Horizonta output valve ന് അതിന്റെ Top-ൽ നിന്നുംEHT cable പോലൊരു connection ഉണ്ട്. Main valveകൾക്ക് ചെറിയൊരു Powder Tin ന്റെ വലിപ്പവുമുണ്ടാവും. Power consuption വളരെ കൂടുലാണ്.
