I beg to differ, Neves is NOT a DM. He's a true box to box, with amazing vision, poise and awareness. This kid will be an elite lvl player.

@@iamMillionaireBoss He is right.He is not a true DM like Rodri kind of player.He is more like that traditional old school CM like Zanetti or Schweinsteiger or Keane who can go from double 6 to box-to-box.In his partnership with Florentino Luis as a double pivot, when one of them sit back,the other go on offensive in rotation.But he is still young so he can be developed into a more specialised role.

Agree. Limiting him to just play DM would be a crime. Mainoo is better suited for that role. But i don't think Mainoo should be a DM as well. I would sell Casemiro and get Paqueta from West Ham with a trade including Maguire

As a Benfica fan, I second this. He played as a DMF for most of this season but he isn't that good defensively. He is more like a classic box-to-box.

Great CM player he looks like Verratti play style I am a Benfica fan and I watch him in every game and most of Benfica games since beginning of the season he has been the best player from Benfica this kid has 4 longs that Benfica needed after Enzo left this boy has been a gift from God to us 🦅 ❤

João should not go to Man. United. Their game style is not for him, like Atlético Madrid was a mistake to João Félix. João Neves is more like Bernardo Silva.

No is not.. I’m Benfica fan and I watch all the games and JNeves is CM box-to-box or free roaming player he can do a DM but in a 4-2-3-1 he’s the one that does the playmaker … Next to him plays Florentino Luis DM so João Neves can drive the team and this kid has 5 longs, is just amazing his style of play is similar to old school CM players like Verratti for example.
