I have the exact same van for hvac work, Chevy Express AWD, that I bought new as a factory order. 168,000 miles so far. Loaded with 1,700lbs at all times. Saved itself from overheating, when the radiator sprang a leak, by reducing power and turning off AC(automatically), which gave me enough time, to get out of the traffic jam. Very reliable with great traction.

Thanks for the tour of your van. I'm going to use some of your ideas. Last year I got a 2003 Chevy AWD conversion van. Mine is for surf fishing and surfing. I can fit paddle boards and surf rods inside and the AWD is great on the beach. Slowly making improvements. Thanks again. Stay well

The 6.0 is still a small block....definitely a great motor though

Hey man I have the 2007 AWD Express. Nice build. FYI watch your transfer case. It has to be overfilled as the gear is angled upward. I had my transfer case poop out in SL Utah. They don't have these transfer cases available everywhere.

Very nice. Seems so spacious for the 135" wheelbase (or is this a 155"??) Do you sleep sideways or lengthways? Thank you.

Loving to see fellow AWD Express vans popping up on KZfaq! I did the torsion keys also up front and Bilstein 24-186643. They seem a little soft for me. What part number did you choose? Also for the rear I added a leaf and got just under 4" lift Bilstein #24-221948. She's got 205k on her and now is starting to become a gold digger! New front diff and front driver wheel bearing just went out. But this cougar I can't let go!

Would you recommend the tires you have on your van for a van that is not all wheel drive? I have a Ford E150 cargo van that I'm needing to get better tires on, so I can drive more safely in the snow and icy conditions of Minnesota.
@JustinVelo3 жыл бұрын
Kyle speaks highly of these tires. In fact, I recently had them installed on my 4Runner. Should help in the snow.

What did you do for floor? What insulation did you use?
@marklundegren4 жыл бұрын
Why did you leave the roof uninsulated/unfinished?
@JustinVelo4 жыл бұрын
I’ll double check with the owner, but I think it was mostly to keep the price and build time down.
