Looks like a very pretty forest! This is a pretty typical trail for Colorado. Sorry about the body damage 😬 but it isn’t much thankfully. The truck definitely looks rugged! It has a certain personality for sure. Love the video and your vlogs as usual!

I watched your last video of fortune creek & went up Tuesday. Ran into guy with his family in a Mojave Gladiator. He was heading up Van Epps but got lost. I pointed him the way but warned him of the trail. It was his 1st weekend with the truck & his wife was telling him to do it. They were using Google maps, no winch or offroad gear & had tires at highway psi. Luckily he didn't attempt the trail. Love the videos & subscribed n following on IG

Thats a fun trail, had my tail light taken out by a tree near the mine after you go over the pass. That rock at 9:20 was much worse, it was closer to the middle. It took a 12k lb winch, 2 snatch blocks, and the rear of my Jeep tethered to a tree to move it where it is now.

Sorry about the damage, but I love seeing other strong F-150’s taking the tough mountain trails. And, it doesn’t get anymore beautiful than off roading PNW. Nice truck set up, too. And, I have to hand it to you - you’re a lot ballsier than I am with the trails you take your F-150 up. And, by watching this video, you’re quite experienced exploring difficult mountain trails, too. Even with the truck damage, nice job on the trail. I look forward to seeing more of your off roading videos.

Damn man that definitely sucks , definitely need some rock sliders. And your dang factory lockers is still bugging the crap out of me lol. Just doesn't seem like it's working like a locker should. Great video though man. Good to see a full size truck out there doing jeep trails.

Rock sliders are going on as soon as the repairs are made. Maybe before depending on how back logged the shop is. As for the locker, it drives me nuts too.
@simpleinstinct
@simpleinstinct Жыл бұрын
I'm not 100% sure. There seems to be different opinions about why it would disengage. I will say it worked perfectly when I went up argentine pass in Colorado. For some reason this trip it either didn't engage or was unlocking itself. Our work trucks have the same locker and they all seem to work just fine. It might just be something with mine or I should have backed up to ensure it wasn't under load before going up the hill/obstacles.

@@simpleinstinct I had a Ram Rebel with the factory rear locker. I was out in some mud last year, I locked in low and then locked the rear locker, after a few minutes of trying to get unstuck, the locker disengaged saying it was get too hot. One of the reason I got rid of the truck for a Gladiator Rubicon.

I've never heard of a locker getting too hot. I'm sure the gladiator won't do it though.

Great video, I would love to come up to Washington and try this trail. Me and my buddy go overlanding, we both traded our full size trucks (me 2020 Ram Rebel, him 2019 F150) for midsize trucks (me 2022 Gladiator Rubicon him 2018 Pro 4X). Neither of us has any problems we used to on the same trails. I found a lot of trails at cut more for midsize vehicles. The lockers really do help.

Like I said, my air pump died on me. I didn't have a way to inflate them back up. The nearest place to get air was pretty far down the highway. In general, yes, I would air down.
