Imagine being so amazing that you can make metal fans silent as you shred the guitar. Almost like they're silently and reverently watch a classical pianist. This one video speaks to the incredible talent that EVH was.

Such a great performance. You can tell how much passion he put into playing guitar with Eruption. I'll always remember sitting on the far right of the stage at a concert in my area in mid-level seats. We could see Eddie doing last minute tuning right before the show started and he stopped and looked up at us and blew the crowd in that area a kiss and gave a thumbs up. As much as he loved the guitar, he loved his fans. I'm glad I had a chance to see him a few times live. RIP EVH

Got to meet Ed and Mike on the 1984 tour, in New York City. It was 11:00am, at Sbarro fuckin Pizza, of all places. They had on wool hats and large dark sunglasses. I knew who they were immediately and said nothing, at first. After getting my pizza, I walked by their table and quietly said "Can't wait to see yous guys tonight" and Eddie said "See ya there, man" and Mike said "Don't be late." A moment I'll take with me to the grave and beyond. They seemed like really nice people. They looked very tired, also. Yet, very relaxed. The Mighty Van Halen.

I'm a Randy Rhoads fan to be honest, but living at the right time and in the right place... they respected each other. This piece showed just how much music meant to him. To hear the roar of the Marshalls, to feel it n the skin... "It is in that moment when you know it's right and you feel like a fan... that's where you belong!" ... that spot on the stage and in the light is where you belong man! The only thing left now is to jam with R.R. and see how two of the greatest inspirations argue about letting the other close the night ( like old times). Both can jam "Happy Birthday" And it will be the most awesome thing ever heard... See you soon guys.
