Great video mate, defo love a van security video ! I would recommend an after market padlock on the pedal lock box, the supplied pad locks can be defeated in 10 seconds unfort 😵 & again every little helps but would suggest a full disc lock full wheel cover wheel lock, big and bulky but takes ages to get off, those little 'arm' wheel locks can be had off also in a matter of seconds - I feel awful being critical, but our vans are our world matey, & just helping out as done this stuff for years. Also its very easy to add CCTV in the front cab for under £100 as long as you have a wifi access point in the van, also cheap n easy to get. Finally you want to add a fuel cut off switch - they are not too much bother to fit as long as you get the right wire (found in the ignition key wiring bundle or fusebox), just splice a wire off and a hidden switch - you won't get very far with no fuel going into the engine....... WINDOWS!: 3M security film - makes it a total faff to try smash or pull the window apart, 3M security film takes 2-3 minutes of constantly smacking a regular window with a hammer or crow bar before it may give out........the windows WILL smash, but the film holds it all together kind of like a thick sheet of smashed ice that you can't get through - TOP TIP - keep a razer sharp stanley knife on the inside of the van to slice this film in a 'X" shape to escape the van in an emergency - the film is on the inside you see, and then you can get out fast if needed. FINALLY, you want to add 2 minimum TK STAR vehicle trackers, about £50-60 each now, add a PAYG simcard in - then you don't have a monthly fee, just phone the number and it send you a google maps link, id recommend getting a PAYG card on EE and the other on 02 - my personal nationwide years of learning about cell coverage has found these 2 to be a good bet. There's a lot of scummy people out there who can't be bothered to earn things for themselves. When bad things happen sometimes it's easy to forget that there's also a lot of nice kind people too. great choices mate,thankfully you didn't use a full-size disklok steering wheel lock,turns out that under the black sticker below the locking mechanism is a hole, which thieves simply drill into with an 8mm drill bit and it pops right open.£130 was wasted on those.

Your back door is still very vulnerable, it's the first place that many of the thieving scrotes go for. I like the big yellow steering locks because they are so visible and put off people who are after stealing the vehicle as they'll see it and then look for an easier target. A big hungry dog is also a good deterrent.

Mate you need a loud alarm you can activate at night if someone tries to break in while you are in the van. Even an air horn!! Look at bolts that you can fit through your side doors… And a camera inside to alert you while you are away from the van. Also an isolation switch hidden to stop the van being able to be started… Think outside the box mate… Enjoy your journey mate…

Sorry to bring bad news, but you waisted money on the pedal box. It is completely useless. Why you ask??? Cause arms, that your pedals are attached to, are plastic. So the arm can be cut very easily just outside metal box and you still can press arms of the clutch or break without the pedals and drive it away.

Could you get some proper cab door locks that campers have. To lock it from the inside.

Yeah, auto theft and break-ins suck big time. You don't realize how much it worms its way into your thinking until it happens to you or someone close to you. Unfortunately in San Francisco we constantly deal with this. One thing you learn very quickly is to not leave anything at all visible that would entice criminals to want to enter your vehicle. Even a cheap mobile phone holder or charge wires might make them think a mobile phone might be inside. Sadly, the crooks here are very good at breaking glass, gaining entry and grabbing stuff very quickly and it is so common that the police have zero interest in investigating or even generating a report for you for your insurance. I don't understand why humans need to be such shits to each other. It is good to be proactive like you are and to have the right attitude that you do what you can but stuff can always happen and you just have to deal with it when it does.

Doggers are a serious threat

Basically, what you are doing is really going to deter a thief,, you would be better with a heavy duty chain and padlock putting that through your pedals or have a plate made up where your padlock sat below the plate.. most market security items aren’t very good…
