More than 3 Million people have met Dee through that video ane here we get an annual update on her. A few years back she had a stroke which made her life much more difficult, but Dee is a survivor and she has pushed her way through those dark times and continues to thrive in the best way she knows how. Today she introduces us to her new Box Van that she has converted into a very nice tiny home on wheels.

@@selahadams We All have our tough moments when life is full of pain, fear and suffering. Then someone, like you, come along to expect more from us. I can only imagine what details you hold onto with such animosity. She, myself, you, all humans have been good and bad. I see Dee as someone who has now come out of the darkness of fear and is an inspiration for all of us who, through her, may see the light at the end of the tunnel While she inspires so many of us, you have the choice to be better or worse. It is only up to you.

"I had a stroke....thyroid surgery....fractured back...etc" and "I built the garage and the inside of my new van....with help". Dee, you have an amazing resiliency and strength of purpose. I don’t feel sorry for this amazing woman. What I feel for her is great admiration for her strength and resilience. There are people with a lot less challenges that can’t survive. Probably me included. She should write a book on how to survive and thrive through hardships.

Dee is compensating for her Dysarthria from the stroke quite well. Her pacing and gesturing while talking are both great strategies to be fluent. I’m a speech pathologist and often see pt’s in their homes-she is amazing!

jeff m, I am hoping people are giving a “thumbs down” because they regret she is having to live on such a small income rather than disliking the video and Dee’s successes. Sometime gestures and comments do not translate well on social media the way it is intended when people think they are being well meaning. Nuance is missing from written comments in a way making some things appear offensive that would not be interpreted as bad when uttered in person. Of course, we do know some people cannot resist being intentionally mean.

Mixing apple and oranges. How California manages its welfare system and the way migrants are treated at our borders by the federal government are separate issues. Criminalizing migrates, and calling them illegal aliens, trying to enter our country legally helps nobody and is illegal...without due process judge or jury they are proclaimed criminals! This is why we have so many social programs in this country, yet some have been severely dismantled by ideologues and corrupt politicians. I watched all 3 videos of Dee literally within a couple of hours, each time not knowing there is another update a year and another year later. Jus amazing. God bless you Dee you are such an inspiration. I watched your first video of living in the car. I imagine that is no easy task. And you upgraded to the trailer and now this. Thank God also for the community and it sounds like your sister is a great supporter to you. God bless all those with such kind hearts and generous giving to this precious lady. I’m so thankful to hear of kind people they certainly are a rarity these days even with family.

I just love Dee! I've now watched all three of her videos and if ANYONE says they can't do it.....they need to watch her videos. She is one amazing woman and we could all learn from her! Thank you for sharing her stories.

Bob has instilled hope back into my life after losing my son and he along with work in myself to find hope again helped me to grieve my son's death. This is how I inspired myself to pick up my own life and go one. You all were my friends and ya all give hope to community in how this community has evolved.

Thank you for this great video! I love it how you allow the people to show their best side, and this Lady Dee is really something!!! I am a physiotherapist and dealing with stroke patients everyday, and I can safely say that she is really exceptional with her courage and endurance! Onward and Upward!
