In today's video we meet my friend Jim again who takes some very long trips in his minivan. I shot a video of it last year, but this year we see some drastic improvements in his Kia Sedona and I think you will see some real growth and improvement in his cozy little tiny home on wheels, especially in his bed which I think is brilliant in design and execution! See my first video with Jim here: • Van Tour of Nomad Livi... .

Great setup. I love seeing "normal car" setups. Jim's made great use of his space there. I like the hanging shoe organizer things below the bed, and the swing-out bike rack is great. I've been meaning to get one of those. Thanks Jim and Bob!

The mpg he claims is bs. According to fuelly.com, 2008 sedonas averaged only 18 mpg...and thats WITHOUT all that weight and aerodynamic destroying stuff on the exterior.

Thanks for mentioning the average mpg. I always thought that meant the best, not average, lol. I am removing all but driver's seat, so hope to get north of 20 in my sienna, too. Still, I imagine 18 mpg is better than larger rigs. I hope to find a affordable bike rack like that. Maybe used. Wish I lived somewhere warmer where bikes more common.

It’s so fun to see how small people can get when it comes to their home. We are building out a Promaster City. (Similar to the little transit connectsj. And our slide out bed my hubby designed is pretty awesome. We are about to put in the cabinets on the other side but we are trying to find ways to use a slide out at the foot part of the bed and I love those collapsible legs in this video. Thanks for that idea!

I'm thinking of the new Ford Transit passenger van which has great gas mileage and I can still set up my Coleman easy up tent & shower stall if I don't want to sleep in the van. My older F150 Triton uses way more gas. Jim & I are both from Michigan. Lucky guy he's west. We have 12" of snow but it's beautiful. Hot tent camping this weekend! I love his shelves & kitchen!

Great job Bob. That does really show how a minivan can accommodate 1 person very nicely and with a very upgrades. The awning and maybe the bike bar was probably his most expensive items. I absolutely love watching these videos, so thank you for sharing and teaching in a very non intimidating way! I will not be selling everything at this point in my life, however, what I have learned is that I can take my family (I still have two boys at home), on some awesome little trips and not have to buy into the commercialism of theme parks or hotels. I do own a Honda Odyssey van that we just use as an extra driver, but after watching this video, I just realized I could turn it into great vacation vehicle!! So again, thank you for sharing!!

Great job on this build..it amazes me the things ppl do in their vehicles to make them a home..would love to have seen more of his bed details..Have been considering downsizing from my e150 to a minivan..have Toyota, Honda, or town n countrys in mind, but yesterday, I did look at a Kia Sedona and I really liked it..still looking n still thinking on it..what got me seriously thinking about it was watching you build that van for HOWA recently..but mostly, my van is old, lots of things dont work, and I'm tired of putting money into it..but..idk bc I'm on disability, so prob end up with a minivan not much better..at least in my e150 I can stand up..✌💜😊

Hi Bob - I just started watching your videos a couple of weeks ago. I started with the older ones and I plan to catch up to current. Videos are informative and interesting. I don't know if you've started to do this since you began, but I would like to know WHERE you are interviewing people. Is it possible to include the name of the city and state in the interview someplace? Or, even a note in the description would be helpful. It sounds like you have been very influential in the decision for many people to wander; you are a great educator.
