Living full-time in my rolling tiny home has been the best decision of my life. Off-Grid living offers a peace and connection to life that you just can't explain. When i first started van life i build a stealth camper van with the mindset the you had to live a stealth van life and i soon discovered that you can just live the city van life and boondock in the countryside and as long as you are respectful of the backcountry and cities you live in. Stealth van life in not necessary. Be proud of the life you choose to live, Share this van life journey with everyone. Remember Tiny Homes and The whole tiny house lifestyle is very popular and #vanlife is no different. When you don't hide it people will come say hi and ask you questions. The world is more curious than hateful. Well......Welcome to my everyday van life adventures. My name is Chrome Valdez and i travel full-time with Cruz the bulldog. Stay weird everyone and thank you for being here.

I buy my van tomorrow. I was looking up van life and this popped up. I was a little worried. Now? After watching her? I'm so excited. I can't wait! I was looking at this the wrong way, I was thinking I'm going to be homeless basically, but no. I'm not. This will be my home. This is going to be an adventure! I'm forced into van life right now. The place I live, they're selling and moving far away. I'm not going... I don't make enough to get an apartment here in PDX. I make enough to get by, selling crystals and Palm stones (Ocean Jasper Queen). I feel so much more confident that I am not going to be sad and lonely, but this will be a non-stop random road trip and I'm ready to set too find myself. Figure myself out more, find what makes me tick. This will be one hell of a cool midlife crisis! 44 year old hippie chick, husband passed away 2 years ago, I am having to figure life or all over again. Just when I thought I had it all down... Not so much. Keep a positive mind like this gal, you can't lose! I hope I'm as successful as she is at this!

Funny how life is sometimes. I was a military/civil service kid, who went to 12 different schools growing up, then went into the military for 12yrs and traveled around. After leaving the military in 1991, I wanted nothing more than a place to plant myself and stay and create a community. I was tired of moving all the time, tired of living out of my seabag (aka suitcase or boxes), and wanted to have things. Now that I own a home, been where I've been over almost 30yrs, I'm now wanting to travel again. I do love having a home base, but there is a beauty to travel as well.

I can so relate, that in the beginning when I actually gone into vanlife, I have heard some people who say that they would never do this that I shouldn't either and or some just feel so bad for me, I told them, no worries, I'm stress free from paying rent or someone else's mortgage, I don't have to work 2-3 jobs to barely get by anymore too. I am content being a vanlifer and only work one job, lovin' my little home on wheels (I'm still currently working on my 2nd van conversion build, while caregiving for my dad and staying at his house till I'm done). Love the simplicity of your build, and thanks Chrome for sharing too🤗💖

A concept I discovered for my no-build van came when I thought for winter to put a 1 person, freestanding tent in it for warmth. Yes, it was doable but I thought what about using the concept of poles to make the back of the van a freestanding tent itself. So I got 3 10 foot poly plumbing poles, bent 1 behind the front seats, 1 in the middle & 1 in the back. I have blackout curtains that I put across the front & back, completely blocking the light (privacy). An emergency blanket tarp put over the top of all 3 poles keeps in the heat. The beauty is that in less than a half hour everything can be taken out of the van making it just a van again.

I have always loved minivans and they are my favorite vehicles. I purchased used and always had the seats removed for the extra storage since I bought most of all I own from thrift stores, especially furniture. I also previously owned a handmade business and the extra room was great for traveling to festivals. I have slept a few nights in my van during the summer because my former 3rd floor apartment was too hot during summer. I live in a senior apartment now and all of my utilities are included in my very affordable rent. If I was given a choice of any vehicle I wanted for free, it would always be a minivan.

Check out Foresty Forest's early videos. Literally just a mattress in an empty cargo van. His early videos weren't even as polished as the young woman's. She has so much potential.

Thrilled for you living the lifestyle you've created ! When I was much younger & as physically flexible as you apear to be I could have easily embraced this ( after divorce. daughters grown & married) . Actually met THE LOVE of MY LIFE ,we engaged ,then 4 mos later he TRANSITIONED ( passed away ) suddenly ! Now after knee & shoulder injuries it doesn't seem possible !! Yet in my 78th year ,I really want to BE FREE ! BLESSINGS to you dear ONE !

Hi. If you bought an affordable van you could easily take it out even for weekends and fun overnight trips. My vanseats don't fold into floors, so I taken them out. I still have room for 2-3 passengers. Even going away overnight and waking up somewhere else all cozy and free, feels like a vacation. Mine not camperized. You don't need more than a foamy, sleeping bag(s), food, water, something to pee in (I use just a 5inch wide/ high juice jug.... and tp... shhh), (mini lights, speakers, folding chair, tarp, rope, poles stakes; optional for shade cover outside sliding door), and window covers. Doable.

Chrome! Thank you for sharing this. So many want this, yet are "told to be scared" of this life style. I really admire this young lady, think she is living life the way she wants & that is what its all about, on her own terms. Im glad you show the different types of people who try the van life.
