Today we meet James who has converted a 2017 Ford hightop Transit into a beautiful camper van! With over 500 watts of solar, he has all the power he needs to do everything he wants in his cozy little Tiny House on Wheels, including air conditioning and a microwave! His craftsmanship with the conversion is a thing of beauty everyone should see!

Bob, I saw an 82 year old man living in his van interviewed on another channel. The interviewer injected so much negativity, it shriveled my heart. The guy talked about how he solved his problems, but it hit a blank wall called the interviewer’s cruel agenda. I have to double acknowledge your interviewing skills, bringing out the excellence and problem solving that each person applies to their home. Thank you.

My husband (age 71) and I really enjoyed this video, Bob. James is a good guy; you can just tell by looking in his eyes. He did a great job with the van. We like him a lot. Best wishes, James.

doesn't anyone know about soda bathing...heat a quart of water to a comfortable temp...add 3 or 4 heaping table spoons of baking soda stir to dissolve ...sponge down and dry... no need for a rinse...leaves you feeling nice and clean ...no stickiness or anything like that...wash your hair too... no shampoo needed...works great I learned this from an Alaskan off-grid cabin dweller...liquid water is scarce there in winter TRY it you'll like it....beats alcohol all over the place...doesn't irritate the skin like alcohol does sometimes

As someone who worked in customer service, I am APPALLED at how James was treated by Ford. They should have had a new part shipped in immediately. At no cost to James. Let's do this! 😂

Ya his AC setup is super slick, he managed to get all that space with minimal insulation. Also he put the fantastic fan exactly where you want to have it if you only have 1, right above the sleeping quarters, in a dual fan system right above the sleeping area and over where u cook.

This goes to prove you can be any age to enjoy the Van Dwelling lifestyle. James did a fabulous job on the Transit, especially the kitchen area. I wish him safe travels and all the best. Bob you should do more videos about senior citizens and the Van life. It would be interesting and inspiring to us retirees.
