And it’s all deductible. If the IRS ever asks, you can show them a picture of your work area, your closet with suits, your bed, your appointment calendar, and your trip log. Brilliant!

Agreed on the proper workstation. I’ve seen so many vans that claim to have a workstation when it’s really just a lagoon table they put their laptop on. Terrible ergonomics. Whereas this is great!

@@questionyourbeliefs One reason for putting the work station in the front rather than the back is the view of the outdorrs. It's almost like you are working outside.

@@roberthanselman5149 My youtube search that led me to this video was "van conversion office". I am "older" as well and almost every video has the office in the back with bench seating. Working from home for the last couple of years I know that I need something with more support. There's a very ergonomic swivel seat designed for long hours that comes with the van - nice to see a build using it well :)

How tall are you? Is your bed width wise 72 inches? It seems doable for someone under 5’10”. Any taller and it becomes a tight fit. Also, can you sit up in the bed without hitting the ceiling?
@roberthanselman5149
@roberthanselman5149 2 жыл бұрын
Hi. I am 6 foot. As you can see I do not hit my head. The bed fits just right. This is why I choose the pro master over the sprinter. The sprinter is more narrow in the back.
@beachliving3127
@beachliving3127 2 жыл бұрын
@@roberthanselman5149 Thanks for the info. We are both the same height. I do like the Promaster because you can be sleep width wise if you have a permanent bed raised off the floor. I've looked at the Promaster, Sprinter, and Transit and they all have good points. I want a U shaped dinette/bed that is high enough off the floor to sleep width wise without my head hitting the ceiling! The Promaster and Transit are both strong choices. While the Promaster is 3/4" wider than the Transit measured for maximum be width, the Transit is 3" taller. That is why I would like to know if your head hits the ceiling if you sit in the bed? How far off the floor is your bed?
@roberthanselman5149
@roberthanselman5149 2 жыл бұрын
@@beachliving3127 The promaster will work perfect for you ....my bed is 3'5" from the floor to the top of the matress. When I sit up in bed I do not hit my head. Also, know it get's tight back there when taking the table down and up.....making the bed....etc. THat is a one person job. With two people I would go to 50 gal rather than 40 gal. Best of luck and send me pictures when you get working on it.
@beachliving3127

@@roberthanselman5149 Thanks for the info. I've sketched out dozens of designs so far and recently started to test drive the vehicles. I'm OK with the U shaped dinette. It only takes a couple of minutes to set and tear down but you get all of that space! The only question is if I can get a U shape dinette configuration designed for a width wide bed that can be off the floor enough to sleep width wide. I've haven't seen one yet. If it doesn't work, I will just make it length wide since I won't have an internal shower.
