My hypothesis is that the deadpool & wolverine movie starts the old men logen comic plot and takes place before the logan movie. (prequel) When they say Logan let his whole world down it's because he failed to kill Doctor X in his seizures that killed most of the x man. And apparently everything takes place in a parallel universe to the 616 universe.

Mr Reynolds I want to thank you for giving my baby brother an autographed "deadpool" script after he watched your video on prostate cancer and he himself discovered he himself had it as well he was 25 when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer after rounds of chemo it went into remission this past dec. I watched the 90’s X-Men series until about 1996. When the 2000 movie came out, I wasn’t interested because my favorite X-Men character, Wolverine, didn’t look like Wolverine. It’s amazing it took the movie studio this long to look somewhat like his original comic and comic series counterpart. Still need a mask.

I just noticed something, in the start the subtitles identified wolverine as "Logan" 🤎 But in the void it identified him as "Wolverine"💛 So maybe they both are different Wolverines just like "Batch" 🤍 Edit :- or it's just because of the suit, like Subtitles said "Wade Wilson" when deadpool didn't wore any mask
