June 12, Vancouver played host to some killer whales deep in the false creek inlet, but what does it mean when residents are spotting whales more and more frequently?

They're starving to death. Heartbreaking. 8 dead grey whales on bc coast so far (2019) 8 dead right whales so far (2019) in eastern Canadian waters. And more.....

I ran across an interesting article on toroidal propellers, but I'm still curious how you guys think a toroidal propeller would stack up against the current submarine propeller design?, with the main benefit being lower sound levels. I'm sure the worlds navies have spent vast fortunes on submarine propeller developmen I'm not an engineer, just someone that likes reading about technology and science, along with practical applications in said fields. Too bad toroidal propellers ardn't mandatory on all ships that still use 150-year-old designs.

They are in our bays cause people don't try to recycle hard enough! All that plastic you throw away gets dumped straight into the ocean, right on their habitats! How dare you!

Lol Greta go recycle harder and they just shop the plastic to Asia for it to float back here. I used to paddle board there those monsters would have freaked me out lol.

@@etemytradel4509 paddle boards are made of toxic materials which get released at a microscopic level and kills coral reefs. If you count all the paddle boards in the world, over a year that is enough toxins to destroy an entire marine habitat. Shame on you!

Forget about the paddle boards I actively dump oil in the ocean for fun everyday
