For the most part yes, if you're above 50 rage and both WW/BS are on CD, you slam. Slam replaces heroic strike, unless you're super geared and always have a full ragebar.

Do not buy Destiny. Waste of money. You want a slower weapon that will swing big with ww and slam. Higher numbers also generate more rage, so your faster weapon isn't guaranteed to give you the rage compensation you'd need. Slamming with fast weapons is also basically useless.

I remember seeing a warrior in our guild try it out in AQ40 but switched after the raid back to dual wielding, haha! Not sure where he put his points but he wasn’t too impressed with it.

i used 2h fury on my NE warrior in vanilla, pretty much this exact spec, absolutely destroyed the damage meters and nobody could get close. Any warrior who tried this and said it was crap was doing it wrong.

Slam doesn't have the extra auto attack at the end of it so I feel like it's very weak. I'm still pulling lots of dps in raid but the offhand HS glitch makes dual wielding much more appealing.

Private servers have an extra swing after slam. Classic doesn't.

@@Gongolongo Please don't spread misinformation if you don't know. It just needs right timing. Using auto-slam-auto combo all the time in classic.

In classic you can use the macro below and cast slam so overlaps with your auto, the slam will then go off after the auto. /startattack /cast slam /stopattack

Shoulders: Drake Talon Pauldrons from BWL, Gloves: Flamewalker/Firewalker (cant remember) from MC, Boots: Chromatic Boots from BWL.

and who needs that in a bossfight as Slamfury? If u autoattack the boss with the 2h weapon u gain 20-25+ rage and just dump it into it

Horde has Shamans who can drop Windfury, which can be procced reliably off of Hamstring.

As horde, you don't use slam because you have widnfury. Instead of slamming, you spam hamstring for WF procs equaling more damage.

You want to attack as much as possible, and Hamstring is an extra swing, but Bloodthirst is a better extra swing, and WW is a better extra swing, so those still take priority. You might think, "well Slam is an extra attack that can generate a WF proc too, and Slam is clearly better than Hamstring, so what gives?" Well, from the extra WF hits Horde Warriors are able to do constantly, they tend to have more Rage available, and in the time that an Alliance Warrior is casting 1 Slam, a Horde Warrior can get around 3 or so Hamstrings, each with a chance to proc another WF hit, and without resetting the swing timer. When he says Horde can spam Hamstring, he really means spam. So, in a vacuum, Slam > Hamstring, obviously. But we're not in a vacuum, and 3x Hamstring + WF procs > Slam.

thing is , its okay for 1h, cause it increases the dmg where ur main dmg from the wep attack is lower, on 2h its complete garbage to spend points on :)

@@papabadger7353 actually, you're paying the same amount of rage for the same damage bonus in both cases. The ratio of damage is irrelevant. :)

@@FrostClawAO no but the amount of time you have to wait for it to go off is important, meaning you can't get as many off in a given time frame with 2h as you can with a 1h. op is right, it's worthless, and imp slam is pretty awful as well unless you have like a 3.9 spd weapon and even then it is meh. just hamstringing to keep flurry up is a better use of rage than spending it on slam and pushing your next AA back another second

@@screenshotted basic math dictates that weapon damage + 85, is greater than the 1s/4s of weapon damage missed by pushing back the time to auto.

@@DialUpFPV doesnt work anymore they hotfixed the bug. From 7th Jan patchnotes - Fixed a bug that caused /stopattack and /startattack macros to pause the swing timer (rather than reset it) when used with abilities such as Slam.

Jason I know I just got home and tested the macro. It’s a no go. I can manually time it to shave off .4 seconds off the 1 second cast but it’s not worth it as it’s too hard to do consistently honestly. God damn shame. Found the macro last night as was gonna try it in MC tonifht

Correct, it comes down to PVE. Horde has windfury, so they pretty have unlimited rage. The reason why Slam is bad for Horde is because of Windfury. When you spam hamstring, you have a chance to get a windfury proc, granting you an extra auto attack, which deals more, if not the same damage as slam. You can get 2-3 hamstrings by the time you Slam once, equaling more DPS by spamming hamstring.

Executus Gaming Actually, do you consider slam worth using in PvP? I have see you don't choose the improved slam talents in your video "Is Fury Warrior viable in Vanilla PvP?"

Very rare cases do I Slam in pvp. Its really only good against druids or targets in stuns.

Slamming on horde is a waste of a global, you could use hamstring which equals more DPS in the end. Your auto attacks as 2h fury and the majority of your damage.

Arms has more consistent damage and is better for leveling. Fury is better endgame.

I am arms pve and it's actually decent if you have good gear. I have bonereavers edge and I do 600+ dps on every boss using only 1 consumable (moongoose). When I'm lucky with crits I can do 800+ dps. This of course is in mc with a lot buffs from other classes.

Can you send me a link for a viable spec for leveling? I mean, I tried looking but I am kinda confused what better, Fury with 2h or Duel Wield or Arms even.

Do not dual wield while leveling, there is not enough hit gear for you. Only 2h, arms or fury, its personal preference. I recommend a 2h fury leveling spec, which is pretty much the same thing as a 2h fury pvp spec.

@@ExecutusGaming although dual wield will always give more white dmg to single target, even with 0 bonus hit chance, and it synergizes better with some of the talents in the fury tree. Unless your one-handed weapons are significantly worse than your 2h

@@Postermaestro Not true. As dual wield you need 28% hit to never miss any white damage. 9% hit to never miss yellow damage, for a 2h is significantly less. You're more than welcome to try dual wield leveling, but it's a joke before level 50-55. You miss almost every auto attack and gain 0 rage.

My updated builds use anger management. I stopped using imp overpower because of buffs in raids.

Only when you're OOC, so it barely matter at all for PvE. Only time it matters is between pulls if you're trying to save rage you built up prior. You'll never play 2H fury for PvP. I've been playin' 2h fury for years, and I have the exact same build as this guy without ever having seen his video.

@@AugustAPC Anger management is 1 rage per 3 seconds as long as you have rage. So in combat or OOC you get this. It's a great talent.

In Vanilla, there is no decimals or revealed value for hit rating. You just have to count the hit % from your gear right? Therefore, if your saying 8.6, you really mean 9% correct?

anger management is only useful for , , the top guilds in the game where there is 0 downtime between pulls so you'll have use of your rage when out of combat, and it's meant for speed clearing but if you're on a fresh doing a 3 hour MC anger management is totally useless.

@@demon2444 you're forgetting the "secret" part of the talent, where it makes you generate more rage than normal while in combat. If you don't have AM you'll constantly feel like, "well I'd like to use bloodthirst but i only have 27/28 rage, oh well". it just lets you do wayyyy more damage during fights, especially if you're alliance and without windfury

Probably because you do not have anywhere near the gear required to make it work. It is a build that lets you dump rage in a way that is far superior to just hitting heroic strike, as it lets you deal weapon damage on top of retaining your rage generation. Even if you had BiS for phase 1, you would not be capable of hitting hard enough or critting often enough to make this work.

@@jimmylam3012 You have to slam as the auto attack lands, then you bypass the reset. Either way, it isn't worth it right now.
