Turning my minivan into a cozy little home on wheels. Removing carpets to get ready for a deep spring clean so to speak. #springcleaning #vanlife #campervan #camper #conversion #minivan

Those square rings that the seats snap on to, when you raise them up from stowed away position into seating position, can be removed. When I converted my Grand Caravan to a camper, I went through various maneuvers to work around them, and then I discovered that I could just unbolt and remove them. 😄🥴 Now I take wonderful road trips sleeping and cooking in the minivan. I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Whaaaaatttt???? I will have to look into that. Thanks.

You know what's the best thing ever for a floor? Gym floor tiles, those foam ones that fit together like jigsaw pieces. They're a real knee saver. I'm on my knees to get storage bins out from under my bed and those soft foam tiles are great. They're easy to cut with a utility knife too. I also have mats here and there over the gym floor tiles.

Good idea. I love sitting on the floors so I need something that will be extra soft. I am going to pay a lot of attention to floor of my "living room" area.

I’m so impressed with your ability to do this rebuild yourself. I am not afraid of tools, even power tools, but fear I would become overwhelmed quickly. KUDOS to you! Love to see it and I am here for it. 😅 Working my way backwards in the vids. 😊 Thanks for sharing your project and much success to you as you progress.

Thanks and such a sweet comment. This will be a journey for sure...soooo our of my scope. But I am up for the challenge. It's funny though...I thought it would be overwhelming but it is soooo relaxing to me despite the struggles.

Blessing Sis, I've been planning to convert my SUV into a mobile SheCave and I've already purchased everything needed for the inside I just need to start working on removing the seats and carpet. Like you, this will be my personal get up and go vehicle, except when hubby wants to join me. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration and I'll post a video once I start, which should be in the next week or so. I pray the very best for you and perhaps we'll run into each other along the way. Shalom!

I always get my tools from dollar tree or family dollar. Got a socket set screw drivers hammers. Bought a chargable drill elect screw driver from Walmart for 20 dollars. They do their job without me spending a hundred dollars on tools from hardware storee

I just happened up on your KZfaq channel and I am so glad I did! You're the first person that I've seen show stripping their van dirt and all not cover it up the the difficult part. Viewer need to see it all if they have to do it themselves. Like myself 69 yrs young I need to just get my tools and get with it. I don't have the support of family. I live in an apartment don't have storage to store my sits if I remove then. I'm thinking of just trashing then. I have a 2013 Dodge Caravan. Your vehicle looks almost the same model. I can't wait to watch your next chapter, once you clear every thing out. 😊❤

❤️❤️ yes!! Please get your tools and begin. I told myself that I need to just do it now. No time like now. As a newbie to KZfaq myself, I understand your struggle. I will follow your journey😊 As far as getting rid of stuff, I am a teacher soooo I have a LOT of things to get rid of. My van is a 2014 Chrsyler Town and Country. Pretty similar to a Dodge.

@rouseyournicholls My name is LaVon it nice to meet someone like myself trying to figure out our next step, building out our van. I have watched tons of U-tube channels on van life. So many ideas. Sometimes, I think I just over thinking everything to much for to long. I'm working part-time in retail just to make ends meet. I know if I give up my job, and this over price apartment , I could easily live of my Social Security. My kids already think it's a crazy idea. And I expect as much. It's been a dream of my to built out a van that I can actually stand up in live more comfortably. But first try it out part-time in my Dodge Caravan to make sure this is really for me. Even though I feel this deep need to break away for just living doing nothing and going nowhere fast. I'm a widow now and free to come and go as I please. So maybe we can continue encouraging one another to get out there even if it's just around the corner to start. My email elamlreed24@gmail.com Stay safe 🙏🏼 ❤️

In this video, I am now wondering where I would get the tools from to lay a floor. I am always up for a challenge but I want to makes sure that I am fully equipped to go in. Any ideas on where I can buy good used tools? Wait, I wonder if I can rent tools🤔. I am going to look that up first. Thanks for watching.

If you have the time, garage sales and swap meets on Saturdays you name it you can find it. I was also the place where people donate used items for Habitat Humanity. They resell a lot of tools.

Is this a Kia Carnival? I have got a very very similar van a few weeks back and im doing the exact same thing. I am almost at the same point as you as well. I took out the seats, the hooks in the floor are annoying. I purchased a roll of corigated cardboard from our local DIY shop and rolled out 2 lines of it. Cellotaped it together & traced the inside floor & cut it out with a stanley knife. I now have my subfloor down & have also started putting down laminate flooring over it. I also took off the side panels / trim at the rear where the cup holder is to add cabinets. I am going to use Ikea one

Yes, makes sense to have her put in gloves too. I did make her put them on because she wanted to keep helping me. I currently have a 2014 Town N Country minivan.

🤣😂...that is what my daughter said. The thought did cross my mind because we are the second owners of the van. But I survived with some gloves, bleach and lysol.

daddys girl talk like a baby...how old is she?
@rouseyournicholls2 ай бұрын
You are very observant😊. She is talking like that on purpose. It gets quite annoying at times. She can change the sound of her voice to sound like a lot of things🤦♀️. I am sure you will hear her in other videos.
