Vans RV 10 - Rudder Stop Service Bulletin and Finishing Kit Arrives

Vans RV 10, in this build update I address SB 00002 Rudder Stop service bulletin which fixes potential cracking in the rudder stop due to wind gusts. Also I finally receive my finishing kit and begin the next phase of the build. One thing that I realized as I was unpacking the finishing kit was the need for the firewall forward kit which would include engine baffles and the prop governor.

Like you said, finding the tools is the hardest thing. I am having trouble finding the correct socket for 4 nuts(MS21042-08) which socket.size did you use?

I believe that I used a 5.5MM

What condition was the bulletin meant to correct? Also, your intro voiceover was very quiet.

This is a link to the bulletin - www.vansaircraft.com/service-information-and-revisions/sb-00002/ but basically it addresses the issue where several people cracks in the vertical flange due to ground wind gusts. Yep I know the intro is very low, not sure what happened. Thanks,
