Travelling to Varadero Cuba? Here’s a guide on what you need to know before you head out for your #Cuba beach vacation.
We had an amazing time enjoying the beach, seeing #Varadero town and drinking cocktails during our trip in 2019. We put together our top travel tips, recommendations and discoveries from that trip.
Check out Factoria Varadero 43 Cerveceria for a surprisingly amazing frozen daiquiri or Nonna Tina for mojitos! Other options are Casa de la Música, La Bodeguita del Medio and Snack Bar Calle 62.
For great coffee grab a café con leche from El Golfito or Panderia Doña Neli.
For a relaxed, no-frills Cuban restaurant with great food, don’t miss Sabor Cubano.
We recommend walking to get around but cabs are plentiful and can be found on Avenida Primera very easily.
There are shops and stores in town that sell essentials for locals and tourists. Many of which are open late!
You can grab extra cash at ATMs, banks or by visiting the money exchange located in the Centro Comercial Hicacos.
Etecsa internet cards can be purchased at several Wifi Etecsa shops throughout Varadero town. The one we visited was at Avenida Primera and Calle 42.

Me and my parents have been to Cuba 3 times for holidays, twice to Varadero and once in the holguin region and once on a cruise, Yes I agree with you about the internet as one of the hotels we stayed in the internet was down

Cuba is on my bucket list for sure. Beaches, Food, Drink, History, entertainment and did I say beach...lol. You both are about as cute as they come for Travel v-loggers. Really talented. Due to it's location, the climate is much warmer than the rest of the country in winter and it is right next to the Sierra Maestra mountain range - Caveat: the hotels there do require some extensive modernization (more so than the other ones we have been to in other parts of the country)

Great video , If American credit cards are not accepted in Varaderro then which cards are accepted? Or do we have just bring cash with us?

Is the $1 wifi card required for the resort/hotel you stay in? Or does the resort have it's own wifi?

Hi there! Thank you so much for watching! Each resort may have their own set up so it’s probably best to check with the specific resort directly. We stayed in Airbnbs so they may be different and they required the card even when they did have Wifi. Thanks again!

Hi Madelein! Thanks for watching! We booked our bus tickets online using viazul.com It was all very smooth but we made sure to print our tickets at home before leaving. It’s approximately a 3 hour bus ride. We brought snacks for the bus and a book to read! Let us know if you have any other questions. 😁

We visited Puerto Vallarta, Querétaro, San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato on our trip. We were in Mexico for 3 weeks total and enjoyed all of these locations. We didn’t stay in any resorts but did a combination of Airbnb and small hotel stays. Videos of our experiences coming in the next few weeks! Thanks again for reaching out. 😁

We’ve found that the foot has been improving in recent years and we personally had a lot of luck finding delicious things to eat in Havana especially. We have a video all about our food finds there. You forgot to mention that people all try to overcharge you, short change you and there is poop and piss smell everywhere, bad service, slow service, no shopping, no theaters, on and on and on.... Go elsewhere, your money will be better spent.
