"Turn red lamp on to develop photos". So they literally just saw this in a movie right. So what actually happens is that physical film is sensitive to light, so when you pull it out of the camera, it would be ruined because it's still taking in light. Some people use a black bag for that part (Technology Connections). The red lamp is just that most film won't capture very low light, and red photons have the least energy. So if you don't want to develop your film by sense of touch in a bag. You use a very dim red lamp. It usually takes at least two chemical baths to develop photos. The bathtub is that you wash off the chemicals once they're done. Basically one chemical makes the magic happen, one chemical stops the magic, and you wash it off with water so chemicals don't slowly kill your photo. (Once you have your film developed, you basically project it onto a bigger film to make prints to actually use. Same process, but bigger. If you were this poor, you would just use a magnifying glass on the film, and not bother with big prints.)

The way the game presents aliens here is so nonchalant and casual, like aliens passing by in here is a normal thing that just happens few times per day every day. While in Signal Simulator and Voices of the Void aliens are rare elusive minds that carefully scavenge around your land and observe our behaviors, here they very frequently pass by with quite a loud sound and fly more like chickens that somehow got a hang of a plane. That way it feels more like you're a policeman who just camps on one spot holding the speed recorder pointed at the passing vehicles.

0:59:00 Of note, though, Joel, sugar free food has its caviats too. If there were no issues, everyone would consume the sugar free stuff. Usually the sweetners tend to have other problems when consumed in high amounts. The best thing you can do is moderation in my opinion. Reduce the frequency of consumption (and replace it with water, etc.).

It only appears as debt because integer values naturally are able to go into the negatives if your system is this simple and not well-thought. The negative money isn't something they planned for, it's a consequence of how the money is set up with an integer and no other rules.

and the funniest part is that 70% of the reason votv and signal simulator work is just that they don't throw a flying saucer or marcianito at you at like the first 10 minutes of gameplay. The core of alien horror to me is paranoia, uncertainty and the feeling that something is watching you, kinda like what joel talked about with his childhood alien trauma and how "i've seen them now that means they also saw and are aware of me".

I honestly think that if this game gets a multiplayer mode and a few more horror elements, it could be in the same vein as Content Warning and Lethal Company. This game has that charm to it, you know?
