The soul stone isn't what makes him powerful. The dude has one of the most broken abilities that is basically a cracked out zenkai boost, upon near death he reverts to a cocoon state and basically evolves and gets stronger in some weird way. The soul stone made him slightly crazy and had a will of its own and wanted souls. Then we have magus which is even weirder. Fun fact the X-Men have a warlock who's father is named magus if I'm not mistaken.

I don’t know if this is a hot take or not, but I actually liked how Adam was portrayed in GOTG Vol. 3. He wasn’t as strong as his comics counterpart, to be sure, but he was still an intimidating threat for the Guardians to fight. Plus, I think it worked well for the story they were trying to do - this is a version of Adam who was literally just born, and he was a good foil for Rocket as another flawed creation of the High Evolutionary who was trying to find his own purpose in life.

That isn’t a hot take because mcu fans don’t care about power scaling…. They should care tho, obv Adam and guys like Thor don’t need to be destroying solar systems…. But they gotta at least be destroying planets or even ripping apart black holes!! Adam in the guardians movie got knocked out by an exploding planet… cmon now

@@moonknight4053like op said, Adam was literally just born. His mind is basically a kids mind. He has no idea the power he is capable of at this point. He might not even know what the soul gem does just yet. I’m fine with Adam gradually increasing in power over the next few movies he’s in. Also, I don’t think Thor is as nerfed as you think. When creating stormbreaker he just ate the full power of a literal star for a good minute and survived. I think he holds back based on the threat he’s facing.

The Living Tribunal does not possess alternate counterparts, as there is only one Living Tribunal in the Multiverse. However, he does or can exist simultaneously in multiple planes of reality, giving the appearance of multiple variations to the human perception.

Adam Warlock was my favorite comic character since i was a kid. I was always a cosmic marvel fan because i felt they were allowed to do more than the mainstream stories. I never thought that characters like Gamora, Pip, Moondragon, Drax, the High Evolutionary, Thanos, etc. would get their time on screen. I'm very excited. I hope they do him justice. I would have loved to have seen the Infinity Watch story though.

I think it’s too soon to do that story. We just finished infinity saga, infinity watch would be kinda redundant. After Kang, and Galactus, than Watch should come in IMO.

@@SoulReaperSlayer19 well the infinity watch happened in the comics right after thanos lost the gems so timeline wise it’s overdue but warlock isn’t established And a lot of other stuff makes the timing not right so I agree but I wasn’t saying it should be the next movie or even the next phase. When Warlock kicked the crap out of Mephisto in his own realm where his power is supposed to be absolute. One of my favorite battles next to Thanos v.s. Odin where Thanos just won't give up! Awesome battle! But going to Hell and whipping, no pun intended, the hell out of Marvel's own devil and could've taken over is testament to Adam's power. I am fascinated by Adam Warlock and he is one of my 3 top favorite heroes.

What do you think Adam Warlock is going to be like in the MCU without the Soul Stone? How do you think the Guardians of the Galaxy is going to get him on their side? What would happen if he appeared in Avengers Kang Dynasty and Avengers Secret Wars to fight against Kang the Conqueror? After seeing the film .. I say yes it’s still Right & was definitely great how he was introduced .. Plus Adam does not need the soul stone .. in the comics, it was just embedded on him of being the Gatekeeper of the Soul stone .. but in the MCU, that was the red skulls role

Warlock has been one of my all time favorite characters in really anything for 30 years now..when it comes to comics he's in my top 5 without a doubt anything that has to do with him has always fascinated me since i first read Marvel Premiere #2 when i was 7 back in 1993 ..along with The Living Tribunal,High Evolutionary, Galactus and anything involving A.I.M. and Silver Surfer I've never read a bad story involving him and I'd say he fascinates me more than any other comic character..lastly i got nothin against Will Poulter but i think Warlock should've been played by Nikolaj Coster Waldau or someone similar to him but much like Daniel Craig playing Bond or Heath Ledgers Joker im waiting til i actually see it before i criticize his portrayal or casting

We all know the story of Warlock in the comics. During the movie Aiesha tells the High Evolutionary, "You removed him from his cocoon early. I think the High Evolutionary fears the fully mature form of Warlock. We have also seen his cocoon in both Thor the Dark World. The Collector had it. At the end of Guardians 2 in the end credit cut scene we see Knowhere after Thanos wrecked it. In the background is the cocoon burst open. I believe this is where the Magus was released on the MCU. Meaning there is quite a Warlock movie coming.

…oh how I wish you were right. But I hate to say it…the cocoon in Thor 2 was disregarded and was redone in Guardians 2, so he only started there with the Sovereign, not in Knowhere.

The Living Tribunal is a multiversal being with there being only one Living Tribunal in the entire multiverse. When Adam Warlock took the place of him he wasn't just a version from a different reality but the singular version of all realities. That was probably at the height of power he held but was a vessel to that power rather than a wielder of it.

Warlock didn’t just become a “version” of the living Tribunal, because only 1 true living tribunal exists in the multiverse at a time. Warlock became the new host after the previous holder of that position was slain by the Beyonders.

As powerful as the writer needs him to be. Don't worry if the writer over does it and breaks canon, continuity, or general sanity then it can all be undone with the destruction of a multiverse.
