There are some times requirements specifically for your age group, where the company would need a mature person. This qualification gives you an entry in the industry. Good course to do. Remember that IATA courses are considered to be among the topmost qualifications in the travel & tourism industry. It is more than worth to do any IATA course may it be for Passenger or Cargo. You have to be sure that you want to deal with cargo and not that you would be more interested in dealing with passengers. Dear JHIPL Admin what you are saying is absolutely correct, but you are limiting yourself only to MOT, India when you do a AICTE approved course. Where as IATA courses have a bigger role than just being accepted by MOT, India. IATA certificates are recognized all over the world by the Travel & Tourism industry as well as the Aviation industry. These diplomas are not limited to recognition of any one government like government of India. IATA diplomas help your agency business in getting the very coveted and a very important accreditation of IATA through which you could get into their BSP system and get to issue tickets for all the airlines in the world. All these advantages do not come with diplomas from AICTE approved institute or UGC recognized universities. To sum it up IATA diplomas have a much more wider scope not only if you want a job in India but it helps you get jobs world wide and even if you are in the business of travel it is of much more help than any other courses. @@ajaykurseja Its all okay but IATA diplomas are not recognised by Ministry of Tourism Government of India. Its better to do courses approved by Ministry of Tourism Government of India. No information about Indian Tourism and Culture & History in IATA Foundation Diploma in Travel & Tourism. We have all IATA Certification and 90% of our staff are holding IATA diploma but it is limited to Air Fares & Ticketing.

I believe that any kind of education may it be from the IATA courses or from approved universities from around the world is worth it. After all it is knowledge (Maa Saraswati). That is what we believe isn't it? My only limited point is with the recognition of these certificates. The individual government approved courses are limited to be accepted only in their own countries, whereas the IATA certification has a world-wide recognition. BIG advantage, isn't it? Also, if you start your own agency, you can easily apply for IATA accreditation for your agency also with the IATA certificates. One more point to add here is that the IATA Foundation Diploma in Travel &Tourism is not limited only to Air Fares & Ticketing. This is the impression many people have but that is not true. ​@@ajaykurseja Lets make an appeal to the Tourism Secretary & Minister of Tourism Government of India regarding the acceptance of the IATA Travel & Tourism Course so that the students in order to get an MOT recognition can use the IATA Certificate to get it. Refer to the education qualification requirement for eTravel Trade Recognition MOT GOI. A new course introduced by MOT IITFC Basic Certification which is accepted than why not IATA. Stay Safe !

The travel & tourism and the aviation industry are going through a very tough time at this moment Monica. Please be patient, the industry is starting to revive and soon you will see openings for freshers also. IATA qualification gets you the first preference when they start appointing.
